They would probably get along great rolling their eyes at how adorably stupid Romeo is.

Romeo and Benvolio could get a “bachelor pad” right next to Juliet and Mercutio’s house. Every night, Romeo and Mercutio high five as they hop the fence to go bang their one true love.

The second half of the play is just all of them trying to keep up the charade and being “THIS CLOSE” to getting caught all the time. But everything ends nicely because true love conquers all.

When Simon and Ethan are publicly humiliated for being gay, Simon’s “friends” don’t go to comfort him, they just leave him to sit alone (this is the main reason I had some problems with them)

Simon’s parents actually made me really happy and when his mom says “you can exhale now” I actually cried

The vice principal is the definition of “I don’t realize that what I’m doing isn’t helpful” because of the whole “I think the two gay kids are dating even when they said they aren’t”. I’ve experienced that actually and it’s kinda funny but mostly annoying

The ferris-wheel scene made me cry so hard like that’s the most romantic thing I’ve ever scene

When Simon and Bram finally kissed the entire theater cheered, and when I looked back I saw a bunch of older parents sitting with their kids and it made me so happy

The idea of needing someone to inspire you to come out made me really happy cause I remember coming out and thinking I was the only gay one and now I have a bunch of people around me who are LGBT+ and it’s really accurate to a lot of middle/high school experiences

The college dance scene made me laugh so hard
