it’s not a slur, it’s just an outdated and useless concept which tends to be used as a bludgeon or a pedestal, and both are harmful.

sorry to burst your bubble but misgendering “bad” trans ppl is just as transphobic as misgendering any other trans person bc it implies being correctly gendered is merely a privilege that may be revoked by cis ppl so long as they dont like us which is an incredibly harmful mindset to promote.

I am so wary of any take, no matter how well intentioned, that places good queers (diverse, non sexual, love, don’t look explicitly gay) against bad queers (overly sexual and vain obviously gay men)

I grew up enough with cishet adults and peers saying "I'm fine with gay people as long as they're not all in my face about it" it's really upsetting to now be surrounded by lgbt people essentially saying the same exact thing but in the form of "funny memes" online, it's literally homophobia and being inner-community doesn't make it any less homophobic
