(A5) character designs of cat pirate, Selina.
The project was to use 3 S words as a basis. As one of my words was swashbuckling I wanted to create a piratical character.
A different task was set to do observational drawings of a pet or family member, as I drew my cat I decided to base the character on her and based these designs on the observational drawings of her.
The use of the red on the bandana breaks up the pages that would otherwise have been just black on white.
(A3) conceptual character designs for the antagonist enemies in my video game concept
I worked through a few different designs for the zombie/alien like enemies called the Bystanders, eventually combining head design 2 and body design 3.

The book I created for the first project of part 2, "Blank", and the demon, Stygal, that appears at the end of the story to confirm the main characters (Blanks) death
The shadow cast by the creature is very effective in showing the paper-cut medium I chose to use in the illustrations for the book
Page from my graphic novel "Nevermore" (based on the poem by E. A. Poe)
This was the page I am pleased with most as the page flows well and shows a clear change in character as the protagonist "Ed" is completely possessed by the demon "Nevermore".
I have used Japanese characters to show sound effects as this worked best with the layout of the page
(A3) Character design for the main protagonist of the video game I designed for a live brief in conjunction with the Red Cross group
Cecil uses a giant pair of scissors as weapon as I wanted the protagonists to use seemingly ordinary objects as this seemed to work with the idea of the bystander effect (the project title)
observational drawing of models face during life drawing session
As I usually find faces quite difficult to draw, I thought I would take advantage of the life drawing session to concentrate on specific parts of the body in more detail than I had been putting into the full body sketches.
Life drawing in charcoal
This was my first attempt at life drawing
Due to the model having to change positions, the sketches had to be quite quick. I found I was able to draw out the position of the model fairly easily however not so much when adding details

Page from my 3D rotation sketchbook (A5)Â of Foundation course
"Knife" was made in small metals workshop using twisted wire (copper and iron)
The task was to photograph what we had made in interesting ways using objects from around the studio
Collage (A4) using images from internet and pen
The task was to produce a collage using a political issue
I chose the issue of transport, more specifically the reason for train delays. After looking at satirical cartoonists, this is what I finally produced
