Being possessive isn't really her style. She trusts you and she has enough faith and confidence in her relationship with you to not feel the need to stake any sort of claim on you like that. She does, however, watch you. That's her thing and if it could be considered possessive, so be it. She likes to check in on the cameras when she's busy directing Bruce and the others, checking the feed that shows her living room and you nestled on the couch, sleepy and watching something on TV. Or sometimes sheโll watch you on and off during the night as you pad around her apartment, or whatever else it is you do when she isnโt around. Thereโs nothing weird or perverse about it, though. It's a comfort for her to know where you are even as she's feeding information to the bats and hacking past security firewalls. If she knows you're out with your friends on nights she's busy being Oracle, she might even tap into city surveillance just to catch a glimpse of you. Not because she doesn't trust you but because she likes reassuring herself that you're safe and having fun. It gives her one less thing to worry about in the sea of other worries she juggles daily. When you're together her eyes are always following you, taking in every laugh and smile and gesture like it's her favorite thing to watch. Because itย is. So no, she isn't possessive in the traditional sense. But she does watch you, and whenever you two meet up, she's always eager to slip her arms around you like she hasnโt seen you in weeks with a soft,ย โMissed you.โ
Stephanie is possessive but sheโs chill about it. Low key, even. She doesnโt like feeling like sheโs suffocating you, so she isnโt a fan of huffing and glaring at people who flirt with you, but she does give them a smug side eye whenever you come back to her and her arm wraps around your waist to pull you closer. She likes to make sure youโre always touching one way or another when you two are close to each other; your hand in hers or her arm around your waist or her pulling your legs over her lap. Its second nature to be close to you and thatโs the way she likes it. But any time you step away or youโre doing your own thing, she keeps tabs on whatโs going on around you and who, exactly, is looking at you. Obviously, she knows that people flirting with you is unavoidable, and she deals with that, but she can never really stop the snug smirk she wears every time you reject someone just to slide back to her side, all happy to see her. Her possessive streak only really comes out after the really rough patrols. When she's worn too thin and needs you close. When she cancels all her plans and stays in bed with you all day, her hands and lips trailing along every inch of you just to remind her you're still there and still hers and sheโll whisper a soft,ย โLove you, baby.โ. So yeah, she deserves to be a bit smug about it whenever some random stranger thinks they even stand a chance with you.
Cassandra is possessive but she doesnโt really know how to go about dealing with it most days. Itโs not in her nature to hover or suffocate you; she doesnโt like that. But she can never really get used to the feeling of restlessness that settles over her whenever other people are attracted to you or trying to hit on you or anything like that. In a small way, it frustrates her to have that possessive feeling because she doesnโt ever want you to feel like she thinks she owns you so she tries to keep it to herself around other people. But when no one else is looking, sheโll pull you close just so she can feel your warmth against her. Everything else around the two of you vanishes for her when youโre close, when sheโs got your hand in hers or her lips against your cheek or your palm or your lips. And when youโre totally alone? Thatโs when she lets herself lean into that possessive feeling, kissing whenever her lips can reach and letting her hands roam over every inch of you. Pulling you so close she can swear she feels your heart beating against her own chest. Pressing her face into your neck with a soft, โMine,โ Thatโs all firm assurance and tender love all in one. Her possessive side is really just an ache to have you near her whenever she can manage it. Itโs a soft and silent possession, but itโs there.ย
Kate will argue that she isnโt possessive when you both know sheโs lying. Sheโs not even good at hiding it. She will glare when someone has the audacity to flirt with you around her and she will slip her arm around you with a pointed look at the offending stranger. Granted, sheโs able to keep it pretty tame around other people. A glare and a pointed look while maintaining some sort of physical contact with you because it isnโt like she wants to make a scene and she doesnโt want to beย that kind of girlfriend. She canโt really help it sometimes, though, but she really does try to reign it in. She likes to drape her jacket around your shoulders when youโre out together, a subtle but obvious claim that soothes a bit of that itch inside of her. Giving you her jacket or carrying your things for you or just anything that shows people that sheโs with you. That being said, sheโs less restrained when youโre alone. Hickies are a common occurrence, usually only in places onlyย sheโs lucky enough to see but sometimes one or two will peek out from the collar of your shirts if sheโs particularly worked up. Sheโd feel a little bad about it if she wasnโt fully aware of how much you liked it when she got worked up and possessive like that in private. You both enjoy it and you both know that, and she always tries to argue afterwards that the way she left mark after mark on your skin had nothing to do with her possessive streak. You both know that isnโt true, but sheโll say it anyway, dragging her thumb over a hickey left on your inner thigh. And if a soft little โMy baby,โ escapes her lips? Well, thatโs for you to tease her about later.
Yes, sheโs possessive and she doesnโt try to hide it at all. Why should she, after all, when sheโs got the most beautiful person to ever exist by her side? She doesnโt try to scare off anyone that approaches you or flirts with you at first. In fact, sheโll let it happen so she can mentally judge their methods and pick up lines. Sheโll sip her drink or pretend to scroll through her phone until she hears you reject the other person and then sheโll make her move; grabbing you by the chin and kissing you all filthy and heated, uncaring about the people around to see. Sheโll kiss you until youโre breathless and then smile pointedly at the stranger until they slink off to tend to their wounded pride. Hickies are a common occurrence with Selina around, as is her always being in your lap or her hands always in your hair or stroking along your arms or sides or your back. She likes to touch you and doesnโt care who sees it. She doesnโt feel the need to have any restraint in her love for you and she doesnโt hesitate to remind others that youโre taken. She doesnโt worry about you cheating on her or leaving her, no. She never worries about that. She just loves having someone she can show off. Privately, sheโs a little less aggressive about her methods. She simply likes to lay with you or hold your hand or rest her head in your lap. She loves skin to skin contact and the way it makes her feel closer to you, and she always kisses you whenever you two see each other with a soft,ย โThereโs my sweetheartโ. If you two arenโt going to see each other for a while she always leaves you with something of hers to keep her close; usually a shirt or a sweater that she knows youโll wrap around your pillow in a weak attempt at pretending sheโs there. She doesnโt make fun of you for this, but she does find it absolutely adorable. Her possession is both strong and tender all at once.
