remus: reads a book or climbs onto the roof of their dorm (everyone’s telling him that it’s too dangerous but he does it anyway)

lily: turns and tosses around until she falls asleep because that girl is stubborn <3

mary: looks at the stars and names them individually

peter: counts sheeps (out loud, the others hated it at first but in year 2 they just started to join in until peter fell asleep)

sirius: sneaks into james’ or remus’ bed (he rarely goes to peter because he moves a LOT in his sleep)

marlene: stares at the ceiling (just as stubborn as lily, sometimes they just sit together in silence and comfort each other until they fall asleep)

james: flies his broom on the quidditch pitch, no matter the how late it is or how bad the weather is

regulus: studies or writes letters to sirius (yeah, he never sends them)

pandora: distracts herself with little magic tricks and hums lullabies

dorcas: cries, gets snacks from the kitchen (shares them if someone is awake as well), falls asleep as soon as she gets in bed

okay so it’s past life lovers meeting again in another life

marlene works in a music shop which dorcas visits to look for vinyls

dorcas owns a small florist shop with her friend alice

they recognize each other but they also don’t

marlene rings dorcas up at the checkout and their eyes meet for a second time, both considering wether they should say something or not

“you have great taste in music, it fits your vibe”

“my vibe? i feel flattered! this may sound weird but do i know you? i feel like we’ve met before… i just moved here and opened a flowershop two blocks away from here”

“i’ve lived in this town my whole life so it isn’t very likely. but i know what you mean, your face seems so familiar”

*loooong eye contact*

“well, i’ve got to get going, i’ll visit again!”

marlene’s just standing there, the remaining cash in her trembling hands, “wait, you forgot your change-” but dorcas is already gone

they meet again the same day while doing the groceries

both looking at the last bottle of their favorite wine, blushing and grinning at the akward atmosphere

“you know… maybe we could share this? i mean we don’t have to, you can have it-”

dorcas is just smiling “i’d actually love that”

so they go to dorcas apartment and as marlene expected it, the cozy flat is filled with plants

plants on the kitchen counter, plants hanging from the ceiling, tree like plants growing in the middle of the room or creeping up the walls

they spend the evening (and night) together, just talking and drinking and enjoying each other’s company

tipsy and more relaxed then before, they return to the part of feeling like they’ve known the other one for years

“i feel like i know things about you that i shouldn’t be able to know. you moved a lot when you were younger, right?”

dorcas’ eyes go out of focus for a moment, just to return to marlene’s questioning face

“yeah, i did. and you wanted to go to university to study criminology as a teen, correct?”

*confusion confusion*

“yes that’s correct. i don’t understand this but i’d like to find out. with you.”

dorcas seems to be debating what to answer, after a small shift in her seat she replies: “i would like that. let’s do this together.”

the rest of the night, they talk about normal things like hobbies, future plans and wishes

pandora was not someone who’s easy to ignore, and neither is reg

regulus didn’t want to stand out so becoming friends with pandora lovegood seemed like the worst idea ever

but pandora was persistent and the first one to actually make regulus laugh after a long time of keeping everything to himself

imagine a small 11 year old boy with dark hair and a constant frown on his face — next to him a girl with white curls, sparkling eyes and a huge smile on her face (pandora also had a big tooth gap)

like rain and sunshine, how could two people that different become friends?

they attended the same astrology, herbology and divination class and since pandora decided to get closer to her seat neighbor, they spent a lot of time studying, doing homework and even spending their freetime together

regulus hesitated in the beginning but after getting to know his new friend better, he was so thankful to have her

pandora was a great listener and although regulus didn’t really enjoy talking about his emotions, pandora made him feel safe to do so

pandora was very good at inventing things (especially spells and she knew she wanted to do it as her profession) so she figured out a way to communicate with regulus, no matter how far apart they were. it was a simple necklace (that could be hidden with another spell): it projected the face of the owner of the other necklace into the air and they were able to speak for a few minutes even when regulus had to do it in secret when he had to return to his family

another spell they invented is one to put on and remove nail polish, it was one of the small things they shared and enjoyed together. every sunday they met up and chose the “colour of the week”

the two of them shared their secrets with each other and regulus didn’t trust anyone like he trusted her. so the last thing regulus thought about was his best friend while clinging to the piece of jewelry wrapped around his neck

pandora on the other hand was heartbroken after finding out about regulus’ death, it was hard for her to just move on and live without him, they were soulmates and understood each other on a level no one else could grasp

she also had a hard time accepting regulus being gone so suddenly, so she asked xenophilius if he would be okay with regulus being the godfather of their unborn child. her husband just looked at her sadly, took her hand and had to explain to her that he wasn’t there anymore, over and over again
