A local legend states that if you leave a coffee jelly at the shrine by the number 42 bus stop, the prayer you write on the container just might be answered.

“Okay, I’ve washed it and changed its-”

“Her, Ku.”

“Right, her diaper.” Kusuo corrected with a small roll of his eyes, the phone cradled between his shoulder and ear as he dried his hands with a psychic blast of air before carefully, very carefully, reapplying a fresh pair of gloves. His old pair? In the garbage. “Now what?”

It was two weeks later. The child was now a month and a half (the pediatrician affirmed his guess) and the visit with the social worker, something that’d happened just yesterday, went a little too well. Maybe if Kusuo had it in him to be a slob it would have gone over a bit more poorly but he simply couldn’t stand the thought of a dirty home.

“Aren. Am I seeing what I think I’m seeing.”

Aren nodded, gobsmacked. “You know what, Shun? I think you are.”

Kusuo is approached for help by a young fox whose mother is trapped and hurt.

“Fox!”

Oh good grief, not this again. 

Kusuo looked up fromthe broccoli sprouts he was transplanting into the soil and toward the coop, calling over with his mind, “Prima, I swear-”

Oh there was actually a fox this time.

The Japanese title for Toilet-bound Hanako-kun is 地縛少年花子くん, or “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun.” “Jibaku” means “land-bound”, and shounen means “boy.” This is a play on the word 地縛霊, or “jibakurei”, meaning land-bound spirit.

While not set in stone (hehe), jibakurei are ghosts that are typically bound to their place of death… which would imply Amane died at school.

I’m currently crying over how cute these train stickers are omg.

The stickers appear to be based on the classic Japanese novel, Night on the Galactic Railroad. To keep it brief, it’s a story about a boy going on a fantasy train ride! It’s short and there’s also a movie for it, so I would recommend checking it out. Everyone here is dressed up as a character from it, so for fun I figured I’d list who everyone is dressed as!
