energy the other gives off is clear as day for graciela. it’s the same tone they find themselves using most days. in fact, the answer as to why they’d taken the time to even stop is still being searched for introspectively. hands move from their comfortably folded position to one of defense, despite it being faux. “okay, i can take a hint. got that same i attitude i have when i don’t wanna be bothered.” chuckle slips between lips that never fell from their upturned position. “don’t matter who you did i for, just so you know. it still helped me out whether you like or not, so again, thank you. i wanted to treat you to whatever they got at that little cafe, so if you decide you’re up for company, i’ll be over there getting wired.”

“… So, I’m sitting there and next thing I know, an astroid rips through the sky overhead.” Persephone points to where she saw it. “All the windows shattered and the earth shook under me. I thought for a split second that I might die.” For someone who’d just previously been terrified, she smiles a lot. Honestly it’s not the worst thing she’s experienced. “Here I am though! Not dead. I like not being dead, y’know?”

🗲 Why couldn’t the days seem less boring? It was like a heatwave brought with it more than sticky sweat and exhausting days, some kind of a lethargy. Danny was sick and tired of the weather deciding it was going to do whatever it wanted, after all, that was his prerogative. He stared around the corner with blank eyes, observing people walking in that direction, but not doing anything more than the occasional slow, lazy blink. A sigh and he leaned his head atop his arm against the wall, mouth open and breathing through every burning degree. So much for the temperate northeastern seaboard. Well, if he was going to have to suffer, someone else would need to suffer with him. 

With one broad collision, he barreled himself into another pedestrian, having acted like he had the whole right of way in walking even though he was going in the opposite direction of the flow. “Watch it, fucker!” he sneered. Maybe he could at least get a little fight out of it. You know… in broad daylight, on the sidewalk, in front of everyone, as you do.🗲

“need to defend myself more and not leave my face vulnerable? right.” criticism helps her improve, she will be honest. josie takes the advice into stride and tries again. she tries again with the punches and even takes a mental note to actually defend herself; leaving her face vulnerable during potential strikes was NOT a situation she could really afford to allow to happen. and she is fairly determined to not let that happen.

            A CURT nod before ivy’s back into observation mode, carefully analyzes josie’s body for any signs of weakness. as expected, improvement is seen immediately in josie’s ability to multi-task. for a brief moment, ivy allows herself to consider the possibility of adding another hunter to her small tribe of just one —— but the thought is dashed from her mind almost as quickly as it comes. she will not allow herself to put anyone else into danger. ‘ much better. i’ve got to say, you’re a very quick learner. any specific reason you asked for my help with this? ’
