   she stands at the edge of the road, thumb out as a cloud of smoke bellows from between pale, plush lips. She’s got duffel bag in hand, and crimson stains across black clothing. She’s burned her bridges in this city, bled it out for whatever it was worth. She’s ready to move on, far, FAR away from these familiar neon lights. “You goin’ my way?” she hums as car slows down, it’s passenger side window already lowered. “Got fifty bucks with your name on it if you take me to the next state.”

      “𝓘f you don’t stop following me I’m going to call the cops--” Sydney said as she promptly turned around to face the man that had been tailing her; and was quickly surprised to see a man she had ran into before. One that didn’t carry the best reputation in her books. “--The hell do you want?”

❛   guess   what   i      bouuuught   youuu   ...   ❜      their  friendship   wasn’t   one   of   giving   gifts   .   bear   ,   as   an   individual   ,   didn’t   give   much   away   for   free   even   where   friendship   was   concerned      -      but   from   time   to   time   while   out   and   about   an   item   would      𝐉𝐔𝐌𝐏      into   view   ,      a   name   would   pop   into   his   head   ,      and   he   would   simply   have   to   buy   it   right   there   on   the   spot   .      ❛   if   you   don’t   guess   you   aren’t   getting   it   ,  so      𝐆𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐒      ...      and   maybe   don’t   get   too   excited   because   it’s   just   a   tiny   thing   .   ❜

     There’s a flicker of a deviousness in her eyes at his words, igniting an excitement in her. Fire was a beautiful and devastating way to dispose of something but there was something about its insatiable hunger that had to be admired if not respected. Her lips pulled back into a wide grin as she placed her hands into the pockets of her jacket, hoping to keep her fingers from fidgeting in plain sight. She didn’t want Danny to see just how eager she was at the mention of arson.
