So apparently South Park is now on Netflix for some countries (Including my own). 

At first, I was excited about it. Like “Hell yeah! I can watch it on a legal streaming site that’s available in my country”. Then the first red flag came up when I saw that they only have season 15-21. Strange but I guess that’s kinda understandable seeing that the more recent seasons contain a lot of present-day commentaries. So I shrugged it off.

I decided to start up my Netflix subscription again, just to watch some of my fave eps. Who am I kidding? I just want to watch Tweek x Craig and Put it Down. Imagine my surprise when I scrolled through season 19 and sees……no Tweek x Craig

1. WTF?!?!??!? and  2. Why?????? Like of all the fucking episodes to not include they pick Tweek x Craig???? Season 15 starts with the parody of THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE for Pete’s sakes. Seeing this makes me dread that they also didn’t put “Put it Down” in as well and I decided to check but, surprisingly, it’s there

Huh….Weird? Why did they not put in Tweek x Craig but still has Put it Down? Did they forget?? So I decided to watch a few minutes and ……my heart sinks

Remember Stan’s line “He’s your boyfriend, dude” when Craig asked why he should be the one calming Tweek down? Yea, it was CUT OFF. That’s right, cut right off. 

The more I watch the angrier I felt. They kept in the first “babe” and “honey” but after that, all cut out. Even when you can clearly see Craig saying “honey” after saying “Tweek”, they still muted it out. 

With all the fucking vague LGBT+ “representation” media has been pushing toward us to try and seem “woke”, South Park’s one of the few that actually have a well developed gay relationship where they stated outright on-screen that the two are boyfriends and have one call the other very clearly romantic pet names.

Not only does Netflix basically shitting on all the effort that Matt and Trey put into developed Creek as a whole, they basically encouraging all the “vague” bread crumbs that they labeled as representation. “Put it Down” also clearly make a comparison between two relationships where one is healthy and the other is NOT. And making Creek seems vague goes against one of the key points of the episode

Even after all that, I know that this isn’t purely Netflix US doing seeing that most of the countries that have SP on Netflix are non-US BUT it raised that question that shows like Brooklyn Nine Nine and One Day at a Time still has the lgbt+ rep that makes them so good are left uncensored, so why suddenly did they censored South Park of all things?
