Chapter 2: i miss the days when i pretended with you

Crowley is feeling the effects of Eve’s blitz of ever more daring sexuality and can’t help imagining what could be in the future. And reminiscing on what had been in the past.

Because in the end, except at the very beginning, the encounters had never been just him and Aziraphale. When he dreamt, there weren’t two people in the bedroom. There weren’t even three, never just Crowley and the devilishly divine wives. No, there were always four – him, his best friend, and the women who’d captivated them both.

He could feel his cheeks going bright red. And that was why the fantasies had been worse than any others before. Because touching Aziraphale and Eve was imagination, but touching Adam?

That was memory.

He couldn’t help but flash back to those times and wonder why they’d ever stopped.

I know that we love scared for speed Aziraphale and that the case would be the same if Crowley rode a motorcycle, but I rise you: Who canonically drove a motorcycle at ridiculous high speeds?

But driving a car going very fast? Honey. I'm so relaxed. I'm probably more relaxed behind the wheel than at any other time, tbh.

Folks think Aziraphale is afraid of high speeds, but I think he's really just anxious when he isn't in control, doesn't have autonomy. That's preeeetty common among the robustly traumatized. Idk.

I imagine if Aziraphale had gotten his own motorcar early on it would have gone exactly like this:

I’d like to add this photo I took last night in Victoria of the statue of Captain Cook. Though I myself am not indigenous, I 100% agree that these murderers, kidnappers and rapists shouldn’t have huge statues and plaques that decorate them and say how “great” they were.

People need to see this. Not just quickly glance at the photos and keep on scrolling. They need to see this.

I went to a “Cancel Canada Day” event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.

This is my country’s legacy - and it’s not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.

Lately I've been obsessed with the idea that fem presenting book!Aziraphale doesn't look much different from her masc self. I think it makes sense because Azi wouldn't see the need to cater to any beauty standard.

Also, if masc Azi gives the impression of a gay man, then it's only natural for fem Azi to make people think lesbian.

Meanwhile, Crowley definitely hung out with the hippie crowd. lol

The Summer Omens Big Bang is about to enter its posting period next week. I've been working on a fic for the last four months that I'm thrilled to start sharing, and you're in for a treat with all the illustrated stories you're going to get!
