smug lectures on social media are not a meaningful solution to the underlying issue here. 

But then I realize that that would be like expecting TenSoon to train all the time. He loves obedience and tracking and even disc just an insane amount. So much so that he barely can contain his love for those activities. But I’d never expect—or even want—him to do nothing but structured activity and rest. It’s not healthy and it’s not productive. He would burn out. So, I take him on hikes or out to the country to just noodle and sniff and swim; I give him Kongs and puzzle toys; I play flirt pole with him; I take him with on errands and to friends’ houses. He’s an animal, and as an animal, he needs enrichment and outlets for natural instincts.

my perfect friend: will it bother dune if I film from a pole setter position?

what she was actually asking: will your walmart greeter of a dog leave course to visit me, one of the great loves of his life, if I’m sitting on course while he’s running?
