Some solvents are probably going to linger for a bit...so the smell will too! but you can use it immediately after it's cured.

It you are encasing your object, make sure when you open it up, you cut in a zig-zag, so the mold will line up correctly...and don't forget your pour spout!

Begin placing the patty on your object.  Start with a side first.  You're probably not going to cover the entire object, so tapper the edge where you'll apply another patty.

This will take about 5 mins.  Remember, you are placing your hands in a bucket with solvents in it.  It may not hurt you now, but it can catch up with you over a prolonged period....this method is NOT recommended!

You'll use any were from 1/3 to 1/2 the tube.

Pour a good amount of soap into the water and mix it up.

Go get a drink of water and let this coat dry for a bit....

Brush mixture onto your object.

Before, I brush on my mixture, I want to put a release on my object.  Soft soap or hand soap works well, and you'll be using it later on.

Pour a small amount of Xylol/Xylene into the container and then add the Silicone to it.  Mix it with a chip brush until it's consistent with honey.

If you want a "slash" coat to capture all of those fancy details, you need Xylol/Xylene to break down the Silicone.

First, and most important...you need 100% CLEAR SILICONE CAULKING...if there were fireworks going off around how important this is, there would be thousands!  The cheaper the better...ACE brand is best, and cheapest!...It's important because it contains less chemicals that have to be broken down.

Be patient...and have fun...experimentation is always the best way to find out if it works!

Open it up!  Remove your pour spout and any extra clay or material.

Find a thin wedge to pry your mold apart.  Tap with a hammer if needed...notice I said tap, not bang!

First..take off the flask.

If you have to add an extra mound of plaster...make sure you go back and smooth it out.  This will prevent the sharp edges cutting you or your straps later.
