For a long time I wasn’t entirely sure I wanted to put myself back together, because letting go of the sadness would mean I had to redefine myself. And sometimes, I still feel like chasing the darkness because I don’t exactly know who I am without it. I realised I made a home out of something I should have never let in.

One of the risks of being quiet is that the other people can fill your silence with their own interpretation: You’re bored. You’re depressed. You’re shy. You’re stuck up. You’re judgmental. When others can’t read us, they write their own story—not always one we choose or that’s true to who we are.

Don’t you dare fucking touch my heart unless you plan to stay.

Who hurt you so much that you started to hate yourself?

And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.
