The bowl chair - Lina Bo Bardi
being appealing to me for the bright colours (they make me happy) it also reminds me of an old chair my grandma had, but a modern version. the positives of having a bowl-like seat means you can change the angle of sitting depending on what youâre using the chair for. Below is an example of how the chair is being used for a very relaxed position and the bowl is placed horizontally, but if placed more vertical the bowl would create a more up-right seated position.

it is also a very simple design, consisting of just the frame and bowl.very minimal in appearance, no mess to clog up the mind.
an enticing space, can imagine myself dipping my feet in the water or relaxing amongst the plants, bliss
Eat Love- Marije Vogelzang, food concepts by eating-designer.
Vogelzang approaches food with the attitude that itâs more than just what we eat, a very playful material. She stretches what can be achieved with basic ingredients or the whole concept of a meal, challenging what it means âto eatâ
âThere is no material that comes as close to human beings as food.â
this book focusâs around the 8 philosophical areas of inspiration that vogelzang has developed to inspire food creatives: the senses , nature , culture , society , technique, psychology, science, action.
These projects I found relevant to ideas i had for my client about wearing food or using it to create jewellery from.
I also really liked the concept of using a mathematical sequence to determine amounts in food.

restaurant design and food experiences.
restaurants are interesting because the environment where eating takes place can really effect how you feel about the food; things like lighting, settings, what youâre sat on, how close to other people you are can have an impact.
Marti Guixeâs candy restaurant-Â âformalises the occasional act of eating sweets by creating a ritual for it that mimics that of everyday,any-time-of-day consumptionâ it is configured like an ordinary restaurant. i love this project because itâs really playful, the build-a-burger as a main course and drink is cola bottle really made me laugh.

after just completing a week project experimenting with concrete, i was really intrigued by the concrete magazine rack with itâs smooth finish and an unusual shape to be achieved with this material. I did some deeper research and found a whole range of furniture pieces made from concrete.
Their minimal look and muted grey tones mean it blends into most interior schemes even though such a brutal material has been used, and the industrial vibe is smoothed by ultra fine sanding and a very modern design.Â

table top by Ryntovt
An unsual combination of two woods with the grains contrasting in colour and shape, such a flush finish must of been hard to achieve which makes me feel this piece was very well designed and crafted.Â
ANNEX TABLES by Joe Doucet
âAnnex is a signed and numbered edition commissioned by the Shop at Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Made completely of hand-honed marble, the tables use only gravity to securely join them together.â
Typical use for concrete: building. I really like the definitive lines and angles of the blocks on these stairs although itâs very bulky and ugly to look at
