Detective Pikachu reimagined what video game movies could be while also giving new life to the world of pokemon. It was both goofy and yet still had serious moments just as the games do and a very good twist.

The Sonic movie, although it had its… Issues at first, ended up being a fun time with amazing casting and it hardly took itself seriously. It set up a sequel in a way that made sense and also gave the audience a new perspective on how video game movies should be done.

Some of you don't seem to realise that price tags on this kind of thing are very variable. Some people are invited to draw attention - I'm gonna bet most of the singers there did not have to pay, because they're part of the product.

Rich weirdos like Elon Musk have to pay for their ticket. Randos who just really want to hobnob with the rich and famous definitely have to pay. Also, this isn't a for-profit event - it's a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. It's very much not like, concert tickets or supermarket food with marked price tags.

The organisers invite elected officials (for free) because the Met museum is NYC government property (and if it wasn't it would charge a hell of a lot more than $25 for entry! As it is $25 per visitor (less for students, free for children and caregivers) only barely covers maintenance, climate control, preservation of the art, curation etc)
