Hi! I recently started making custom mmd models in blender, do you know how to export them in the proper format?
Hello there!! For me, there was a huge search I went through to nab a plugin to export it to PMX. But luckily, LearnMMD posted an article on their website talking about the subject and this really goes into what I did in order to get it working for me! <3Ā https://learnmmd.com/http:/learnmmd.com/epxort-import-mmd-using-blender/
I hope this helps! -Howl
So Iām pretty inactive here currently-- but somehow we surpassed 500 followers?? How?? Q_Q Iām so sorry yāall... I actually deleted all my models unfortunately, cleaning out my computer. If I do end up making tutorials and what not, Iām going to need to find a way to re-download all of those models.. Oh boyo..
Anyway, Iāll try to be-- somewhat more active, but I canāt really make many promises. I hope that there will be more in the future! ^-^ <3 -Howl
Hey, I'm having some struggles with creating a model. See, I try loading a dress onto what I'm working on but none of the texture want to appear. So I googled it, did what several YouTube tutorials said, but nothing worked. Sometimes there's even a "wall" of sorts that appears and I'm not able to see my model. It's frustrating! Please help! o(ā„ļ¹ā„)o
QoQ Have you been importing your textures into the folder where your modelās PMX is? As for the wall, I donāt quite understand that bit? If you could send me some screenshots, Iād love to help a bit more! <3 -Howl
Likeā¦.
This wall. How does this happen? And thereās no textures on the dress. I can move the dress out of the wall and move it around but the wall stays there.

I donāt see a wall ;0; but like I asked, did you take the textures from the zip file and move them with the dress into your base folder? -Howl
I did, thatās how the wall got, I just tested it out.
Itās like the great vanishing act of pmx.
Actually, I think I know what you did. You tried to import the texture and pmx into the program. You need to export the textures and dress into the folder and only import the pmx/d file into the program. Otherwise, the textures make a solid plane of vertex :P -Howl

whats the model in your tutorial vid?
Iām actually not quite sure! All I can remember is- itās either a default miku with an effect on her (TPOShader) or, a GingerCat-P edit ;o; <3 -Howl
Hello! I know this isnāt the greatest video, but I thought I would show you a bit of how I make myĀ āāerror marksāā orĀ āglitchesā in Clip Studio/Manga Studio! QOQĀ
Iāll try to find a way to make it in Sai shortly!! ^-^ -Howl
Youāre not what I expected, but I still love you! <3 -Howl
@miku-miku-positivity
You know those DDLC models? I think Moyonote does them best!
That isnāt the only thing they strike out of the ballpark, a lot of their designs for other humanized versions of game characters really strike me as amazing. FNAF for an example. The game is supposed to be centered around dancing and singing robots at a pizzeria- kind of like Chucky Cheezeās. So- they implement a childish style into all of those models- with a sort of.. eerie twist to it.
I just find myself gawking and admiring all of their work because I just canāt find anyone else who makes it quite like they do. -Howl

Hey umm I just wanted to say you're awesome! I'm wanting to get back into MMD and I was looking for some tutorials/help places, and I found exactly what I was looking for in the form of your blog. You're doing God's (Miku's) work! Bless. š
Thank you so much!! Iām glad that you think so!! I havenāt been able to do much in tutorials since I just- havenāt really had any ideas other than talk about general art stuff-- so Iām basically relying on asks and submissions at this point. ;; So if you ever need any help, you know who to ask! <3 -Howl
So, MMD is doing that thing when the hair is super twitchy and Iām not quite sure how to fix that. I know itās a physics problem but Iām not quite sure how to make the hair have minimal physics. Please send help.Ā š³ļø
Hello! ^-^ From what I can see here, this means the static head physic is too big and making your hair physics bug out. The simple solution is to just make the head physic smaller until the tips of the first physics in the hair isnāt touching it! QuQ The head physic should just be this big sphere. -Howl
PSA FOR COMMISSIONS!
If youāre a modeler, price your commissions what you want. Watch videos about how to price your commissions based off of how much effort, time and work it takes to make your work. Usually- a single model will round out for roughly 100+ dollars, depending on the time it takes.Ā
A friend of mine had a mom that went to art school and learned a lot from her- specifically about what art prices are supposed to be. I realized how low I sell my own commissions- theyāre 6x lower than what it was supposed to be- which opened my eyes. I- and a lot of artists, arenāt used to asking people for more money. Theyāre worried that if their commissions are too high, that people wonāt purchase their art. But thatās absolute bull.
If all of us collectively raised our prices to a livable wage- based on what we need to survive, it would become a narrative to not undersell yourself. If you price yourself what youāre worth, youāre more likely to feel better about yourself- not to mention, youāre going to get some good cash money in your pocket.
The thing is, commissioners make work because itās not only their hobby- but their job. They need money to live and eat- and just generally survive. You expecting them to pay lower- or scamming them, is not only illegal, but swipes a couple of meals off their table. This whole rant counts for artists of all kinds.Ā
Donāt. Undersell. Yourself.
Youāre worth every single penny someone gives you. You deserve to eat. You deserve to live. If someone wants your art, they need to save up to get it. Getting art done for them is a luxury, not a necessity. -Howl
hi! when i open my model in mmd, the frame panel shows dozens of unused, redundant bones. there's like 20 "center" bones in there! however, i can't find all these extra bones in pmxe. how can i clean up my model?
Forgive me for not replying to this sooner!! Iāve had a lot of real-life stuff going on and itās been difficult for me to cope with everything. ;o; I know your problem is probably already fixed, but Iāll poke ya about this anywei.Ā
So- First off, youāll need to go to āFileā and then to āPMX Infoā. Scroll down and youāll more than likely find those 20 centre bones down there somewhere. Look at the number they provide for when going through ādisplay paneā. Usually- Iām so lazy that I just go ahead and delete all of the folders in there and then create new ones titled; āBonesā, āExtra body bonesā and āMisc. Bonesā. Then, I usually spam the āBone: ___ +Addā button until I get them all in their proper slots- but if you want to do it the proper way, just select the proper bones from the āBoneā tab and āCopy Indexā- then paste in the appropriate folders. Then, you should be done! If you have any questions- or if I worded anything wrong, just ask and Iāll clarify QuQ <3

Sorry everyone! I hadnāt realized the tutorials would take a bit longer than Iād intended to finish. Iāll have to postpone until next week. ;-; Forgive me!! -Howl

Proportions! Gotta loveĀ āem!
Itās what makes us, itās what we are. Modelers, big and small (Myself included) have trouble with proportions. Our arms too long, our legs slender and skeletal and our torsos too small. But what if I told you about a trick?Ā
Legs- most of them, are as long as your arms. Feet are discounted, for various reasons. It might not be apparent to you then, nor would it be that important in the future, but models of all walks of life have these flaws. The way you can correct these is simply by shortening the legs, going by the shins and under- then to the calves. Move the knees up or down depending on what it requires, and you should be set! If itās not the legs- like in tsumidangoās case, then lengthen the torso.Ā
Let me show you proof of my claims rather than spout nonsense.Ā
This is a real human being. Her arm, put in the same position as those models, reaches to her ankle, which I have said before- isnāt counted. Do you see how much better that is? Now compare that to the Tda and Tsumi models.
Iām not saying that either of these modelers are inherently bad, Iām simply pointing out that- editors, you have a choice to make. You can shorten your legs to the appropriate sizes, or you can keep them as is. But please hear this post out and try to learn a thing or two from looking at real-life pictures. -Howl
(P.S: Iām still working on the 350+ tutorials, so theyāll be a little late. Iām sorry about that!! QoQ)
