Niffty.

I want a scene that's like, Alastor going on a rampage or is actively threatening the hotel because he flies off the handle for one reason or another, and he's about to like, attack Charlie or destroy the Hotel itself, and then outta nowhere, Niffty jumps in front of him with her arms outstretched and yelling his name. And then he just, stops in his tracks. Or he accidentally hurts her because he couldn't stop himself and thats what stops him.

Its so fucking cheesy but out of literally the whole cast, Niffty is the one closest to him. Its so obvious he adores her and that she adores him. He may have said "You're like the child that I wish that I had" to Charlie (granted to piss off Lucifer) but he already has one and doesn't even realize because he's so fucking scared of any connection.

For the first time in his life—alive or dead—Alastor can truly stand face-to-face with another society member and demand, “We are equals, and you will treat me as such.” Rosie yanked him around for nearly a century, but now, in this moment, he is no longer a puppet on a string.

Yes- part of me wishes Alastor had acted to help Charlie out of his own fondness for her/the hotel. But that disappointment doesn’t mean we should ignore the power behind this scene.

Alastor—a mixed-race Black man from the brutal, segregated South of the 1920s—looks his white-presenting former owner in the eye and tells her, in no uncertain terms, to fuck off. She is no longer his master.

Not today. Not ever again.

And if she wants something from him? Then she will have to pay the fee just like everybody else.

And the price?

Not her soul, her power, or her cannibal army.

She plays it for laughs and reminding him of his place; was it purely a punishment? 'Go back to the Hotel NOW or I won't be fixing anything at all' kinda thing? Or was it just her rubbing it in that he was never going to beat Adam with it?

The first implies she can't just ORDER him back, or that she wants him there somewhat of his own volition, and maybe wanted to make him beg harder or offer something else on top of the Soul she has. Hell, maybe she was looking for a new Deal to supplement the old one so he couldn't easily slide off her leash. Which, given he DOES do that, wouldn't be the worst theory overall, since again, he does literally that exact thing. So maybe she was trying to lock him down further.

Mocking him about Adam would line up with the rest, though it shows some serious lack of foresight considering Alastor had JUST quit the Hotel entirely because he was being mocked. Rosie would have had to be very sure he had no way out of their Deal and would make no efforts to sabotage it. Which seems short-sighted for her by comparison.

(also, an aside: why WOULDN'T he think he could be as powerful as Adam? He's the most powerful Sinner, Adam is the most powerful Winner; I would also have thought of those positions as comparable. And what else could he do anyway, the King didn't show until WAY later, it's not like the Hotel crew had better options)

Either way, Rosie screwed herself BADLY by not repairing the staff and it's bizarre because it clearly didn't take long, and she had enough power to do that and then help with the cannon, so clearly it couldn't be a huge power suck unless she was just putting on a good show and Alastor was the one boosting the spell to finish the job.

I kinda want to believe that she WANTED him out of their deal.

She knows that at this point the deal is only limiting Alastor's power. But Alastor got too comfortable and kinda used to the way things are. Judging that he had 80~ years to igure out the way to escape, but didn't do that until the situation got bad. So, he was sitting there, doing her occasional tasks, but being mostly just free and doing whatever, and seemingly wasn't bothered to get out. Like, look at him in s1 when he brings Charlie to her. He looks so proud and like "she's gonna solve all our problems, i know that, you'll see". And he's just really happy to be around her. He trusts, not her, but he trusts in their deal.

So she finally gave him The Great Problem (who got the reference?), the task that completed would finally set him free. It is also important for her enough that she would not let him refuse (which he seemingly used to do! Because, like, he doesn't have any doubts, that he can just dress up nicely, grab some snacks and flowers, come to her and say that "i don't wanna do it" and get away with it)

So, she made situation worse on purpose, to finally make him do something. Making him disappear for 7 years PROBABLY isn't related to that, but certainly added to his annoyance. It was a test, final exam if you ill, to see if he's really worthy for this power. And, well. He did.

(tbh that first part is like, literally me and my mom and she's trying to ragebait me to the point where i snap and do something and gtfo and start living on my own, but i dont wannaaaaa)

That, or yeah, more toxic scenario, she wanted to double down on their deal and make sure he's stuck in her possession forever. But idk, i can't believe that. Like, Alastor is really happy to go to her, both in s1 and s2. I don't think he would be as happy, if she yanked him around like in the song/dance on regular basis. Like, this doesn't seem to be happening that often. Yeah seems like she did that thing couple of times in the past ("you know the words") (actually idk how canon musical numbers really are, but still), but she never overused it, otherwise Alastor wouldn't be happy to go to her. But even during the song at some point he seems to be enjoying just dancing with her, and she has to drop him and remind him that she's actually scolding him there.

Also, i disagree that Alastor's reputation was damaged too much by him not being around. Like, when he first enters "stayed gone", he IMMEDIATELY gets attention of the crowd, which is fucking huge, since he's competing with visual media and like, people get 80-90% of info through vision, and of course visual media would be more appealing. But Alastor and his single old radio capture attention immediately, the moment he starts speaking.

I won't be counting that time he was walking with Zestial and sinners were freaking out, because there were two of them, and Zestial is super old and scary guy, so that could be just him.

When he challenges Vox, sinners are TERRIFIED to hear his voice.

is it SINCERE

was it CATHARTIC

was it FUN TO MAKE

is it MADE BY ME

1. No drugs.

2. No fights.

3. No pranks.

4. No problematic language.

5. No murder (OR TERRITORIAL GENOCIDE WHAT THE FUCK ANGEL)
