I am a mother who lost my first child in this devastating war. After two long years of waiting, I am finally pregnant again, and I am now in the final months of my pregnancy.

Every day is filled with fear and uncertainty. I desperately need medications, vitamins, and nutritional supplements to protect my health and give my unborn baby the best chance to survive. But because of the border closures and the severe shortage of medicine, the prices have become unbearably expensive.

Following "Fever" (the previous album), Panic! At The Disco wants to make their second album this summer and release it in the fall. To that end, beginning on March 6, the band entered a rural area of Nevada for an intensive songwriting retreat. We'll be bringing you an exclusive undercover report from In Rock on what that retreat was like (to be published in a future issue). Meanwhile, lead songwriter Ryan Ross says that on the new album he wants to write lyrics that are timeless—not tied to any particular era or current trends.

"I think it should become something like poetry that isn't limited to any specific age. I was reading an essay by Oscar Wilde, and in it he says that there are two mistakes writers make: giving the style a sense of modernity, and making the subject matter itself too modern. So if you want to write something universal, that's something you have to watch out for. Reading that really stuck with me."

With that in mind, Ryan intentionally wants to write songs that won't be influenced by the times. Still, it seems that bits and pieces of his own personal experiences inevitably find their way into his writing, and he hopes they won't have too much influence on the songs.
