A lot of times (to not say all and anger anyone) your first serious relationship is really your first toxic relationship. You don’t know what love is. You barely know yourself you’re growing. You don’t know what you want out of a relationship or what you even like or don’t like. You tolerate a lot, because it’s the first time you have strong feelings and don’t know what is right or wrong. You probably envisioned a whole cute future and you’re holding on to that idea of the person you had in your mind of who you thought you were or wished they were. You barely have any adult life exposure so life is way easier. It’s literally a learning experience.

@theambitiouswoman I have to shout you out for this one. I love when you post, but this one is hitting different. This couldn't be more true for me. My relationship with my ex was a blessing and a lesson. I was blessed to learn so early such valuable lessons. Don't ever choose someone else's happiness over yours. Demand respect. Never let a motherfucker define your worth. True love shouldn't feel impossible to 'get right', because it fucking isn't. Most importantly, better days are coming. And when they do, damn do they feel good.
