I saw this when running newpipe. But wait, it gets deeper. I clicked on the details buttons and it said as of today, we have 83 days left until Google rolls out this new requirement for apps inside and outside of the google play store. If any developer disagrees with their new terms and fees, they will be blocked!

I'll share some of the info below:

Looks like they're trying to nuke the remaining privacy and freedoms we have left on the internet.

What to do?

-Get your developer friends to not comply to their new guides

- Sign the open letter on the site and take action by checking out the full resources list on their website as well!

To summarize, this is all daunting especially when you feel all alone with unfair and inhumane regulations comming out faster than improvements but we got this working together!

6/11/26: Hey guys, I really need some commissions to help me afford a down payment of a new apartment. I moved out of my old apartment , as I couldn't afford the lease given my old work contract fell through when I normally would have a lot of work (meaning no money). So now I am currently staying with friends, but it's only temporary; they've given me an ultimatum of finding somewhere else to live by June 15th (was originally end of June but they want me to have a set place to go by then) and having a good paying job to afford it. I'm trying to find some work in an art career position, been sending applications to video game developers and other places that could use my talents, but no luck as of yet. Local stuff is possible but taking too long to respond. Stuff is really hard, had no money for food so I had to go to a food bank, and while I did get a job at a local establishment, they are only paying me $9.50 an hour, the lowest I've ever made, which given my 10 years of working, is way too low for all the expenses and loans I have to pay off. Basically, in the shit. Any support, even a donation, would be helpful to help me with my situation.

But Elmo, after cheerfully surrendering his old toys, sees that the children who swapped toys with him are playing with his toys “wrong”! They’re imagining entirely different make believe scenarios! They’re pretending the football is a dinosaur egg instead of a rocket ship! Aaahhhhh!!!! And this is so distressing to poor Elmo that he does the unthinkable: He does swapsies-backsies and takes all his toys back!

This being Sesame Street, he learns that you can’t control how other people play pretend, but you can join in if you want to! And if you don’t want to, that’s ok, you can just play pretend your own way by yourself or with someone else who wants to play that way too. You can still be friends with people who play pretend differently than you (and aren’t being mean/harmful/etc, do not bad-faith-read this 🤨).
