I'm trying to get it asap because my dad had a bit of a health scare today and the faster I can get it in his name the easier I can rest. My husband, me and my son live with my parents in my dad's childhood home, so if we don't get it in my dad's name eeeeee okay anyway

SO - a long story VERY short - after my granny died, she left the house in her will to her three children, my dad and his two sisters, with the stipulation that if one of them wanted it, they'd have to buy out the other two's shares of the value of the house, which my dad did. HOWEVER, it just... never got finished? The one sister still has the deed and wants to give it to my dad but it just... never happened? It was big scary nebulous thing for a while... so I called a real estate lawyer about it and was told that we just need to have $1500 to have it legally transferred over to my parents' names - it has to go to probate but that's fine bc Granny passed seven years ago, so probate will last as long as it takes to file the paperwork and everyone sign off on it vs the usual ~4 months.

ANYWAY I am trying to get that $1500 ASAP because once its in my parents' names, we call all rest easier at night.
