🫵HEY! We need YOUR feedback on the Smaller Artist Bracket! 🫵
Hello, Slayers and Saviors, our beloved audience! As the competitors from our most recent tournament know, we have been using a Smaller Artist Bracket in our organization, to follow the lead of our dear sister tournament, @slay-the-tourney, in the hopes of making a more enjoyable and fair competition.
Joining this bracket allowed artist who didn't feel comfortable going up against whom they considered "popular" in the community to first be put against a fellow "smaller" artist who agreed to be a part of the same bracket. It should, in theory, allow fresher or lesser-known competitors to not be hindered from their chance of victory by mutuals or follower-bias.
But we haven't exactly heard enough significance satisfactions or complaints with this new system, so we haven't been exactly sure if you all would want us to more forward with this style of organization for future tournaments.
Is it really fair? Is it more enjoyable like this? Has this been a great decision or only given more grievances? We would like to know if we want to keep these competitions to stay fun!
Plus, for 🌳 Voice of the Sexy Hunted 🌳, we wanted to do a tag team system, but the Smaller Artist Bracket could face significant technical difficulty in this particular kind of race, making it practically useless.
So that's where YOU come in!! Would you want us to:
1. KEEP THE SMALLER ARTIST BRACKET
The Smaller Artist Bracket will remain even after the Hunted Tournament concludes. Changes to the system may be made based off of feedback.
Should the Smaller Artist Bracket be used for the Hunted Tournament, the current plan would be to pair one "big" artist with one "small" artist.
However, there's a chance for a domineering majority of "popular" teams, based on previous trends. Our option for fixing this issue would be to reach out to individuals asking them to swap groups or make a judgment call among staff. The latter we would like to avoid, as we feared imposing our ideals on what counts as a "small" or "big" artist.
2. DROP THE SMALL ARTIST BRACKET FOR THE HUNTED TOURNAMENT ONLY
This would mean anyone could be matched with anyone, regardless of artist size/popularity for the Hunted Tournament, but the Smaller Artist Bracket will remain in future tournaments, taking into account any feedback given.
For the Hunted Tournament, the staff will only need to worry about an even number of participants instead of the two groups being even, while accepting the possibility that two big and/or two small artists could be paired up.
3. DROP THE SMALLER ARTIST BRACKET INDEFINITELY
The Smaller Artist Bracket will be replaced with the Wheel for BOTH the Hunted Tournament and all future tournaments.
As you know, the Wheel is entirely random and anyone can be matched with anyone regardless of artist size/popularity.
Fill in here!!
KEEP THE SMALLER ARTIST BRACKET
DROP THE SMALL ARTIST BRACKET FOR THE HUNTED TOURNAMENT ONLY
DROP THE SMALLER ARTIST BRACKET INDEFINITELY
Remaining time: 1 day 1 hour
Feel free to elaborate on your choice in the comments or reblogs! It would help us a lot to hear your reasoning!
Thank you in advance and please share this post around so that our full audience can let themselves be heard!
NOTES: whichever system we used beyond the Hunted Tournament is NOT PERMANENT, as we will gauge community responses & feedback, should we need to reconsider or rewrite the system in use.
We would like to plainly state that there will be a way for participants to express a desire to not be paired up with a specific participant during the Hunted Tournament, should they have any personal reasons, once staff finalized the full roster to share.
