teaser + name reveal for my summer project: SUSURRUS
inspired by elements of the films 'moon' and 'interstellar' and the soft decay of 'yokohama kaidashi kikou'.
'susurrus' is a scifi comic that revolves around whisper, a lone warden of extraplanetary radio towers on an abandoned planet learning that you have to find your own reason to keep going, even when you get left behind.
i developed whisper after cutting off a toxic parent and then my other parents and siblings moved to the other side of the continent, leaving me with a desperate sense of aloneness only exacerbated by the quarantines of 2020. writing whisper's story was my way of finding hope and peace in that solitude.
