Excellent conversation today with my teacher about the stain of racism running deep into the Land here. If white witches want to make a change, start with the Land and work to heal the dead buried there. The Spirits here cry out for remembrance. And our ancestors, the slave owners, the racist ancestors, the ones who stood by when atrocities against people of color occured, they also must be healed. Their collected power still affects their descendants. They must be educated and elevated to be bright spirits, or they will forever be lost.

The roots of this poisoned tree go deep, and we must travel down and give the antidote. Then we must bring Spirit to Form in the way of educating ourselves to abolishing the idea of “whiteness” as a prerequisite of value and status. Draw that lost power, of using the color of our skin to oppress, back into yourselves and turn corruption to boon. Let those lines, those thoughts, wither and die.

The term #alllivesmatter is a disease, and a lie. It is a way to subsume the collective without giving value to the individual autonomy. Before all lives can matter, we must heal the individual. That includes us, white folk. We are not absolved, or whole while people of color need to “catch up”. Our ancestors created this sickness, and we need to cure our ancestors of that sickness.

Today, I learned about cleansing complexes, knots of energy that make me feel “bad” or displaced. And since I believe in the principle of “As above, so below; as within, so without”, I know that this also applies to how -I-, as a manifestation of the One, can also work to loosen those knots of tangled energy in the world. We are all part of the cosmos. There are particles in us that were there at the beginning. The sins of the ancestors are our sins, and we must work to heal, to release, to undo.

Hamburg, Germany-based artist Angelina Erhorn is the creator of chic tableware, composed in a style that mimics origami.

While origami has been around for ages, this artist from Hamburg’s Moij Design indulges in the Japanese art form in a slightly different manner, not using paper but ceramics instead. Nevertheless, Erhorn’s pieces are equally beautiful, her plates, dishes, glasses and cups giving the impression that they have been created using folded paper. Each delicate crease, each porcelain molded in a geometric pattern, is a true delight, a fascinating craft that will have viewers fall in love with the pieces right away. Along with Erhorn, designer Stine Paeper is also a part of this extraordinary project, two artists who are truly passionate about taking origami to a whole new level.
