ย I'm autistic and have social anxiety. Because of this I struggle with ooc chatter and tend to prefer rp memes to get threads going (versus plotting). I'm open to plotting but need some prompts/questions to get going. Reaching out to me with question ssuch as "what sort of dynamic do you think they'd have?" or "what are some rp tropes you enjoy?" will get you a better response from me than a vague message such as "let's plot"
I have a full time job and live on a farm. I also frequently babysit my niece and nephew (both of them are under 5 years old). Because of this, my reply lengths and speed will vary. Do not follow me if this is a problem for you. Also do not follow me if you look down on people who don't always have the energy to write novella style replies and/or people who can't reply multiple times a day.
Favoritism: I do not have it. I tend to reply to short threads during the work week when I have less energy and long threads on the weekend when I have more energy. I also have friends on here who I write with a lot/have hashed out character dynamics through DMs so I write with them often. Not everything is about you and just because I take a little while to reply to you DOESN'T mean I hate to you. If you easily get jealous of other writers DNI.
I often struggle to understand social cues, especially digital social cues. I especially find soft blocking vs tumblr glitching out hard to determine. Because of thisย I AM NOT SOFTBLOCK FRIENDLY!!
FYI:ย I tend to block personal/non-rp blogs, minors, people who haven't interacted with me much after multiple attempts of me reaching out, people who ignore my DNI info, people who are inactive a long time without warning, blogs who have an overwhelming number of muses, people who I feel like I just don't mesh well with, etc.

ALANIS ZINMORA, (he/him, trans man, currently middle aged), was a talented high elf wizard and lifelong researcher of all things arcane alongside his best friend, Elyin Oromel (he/him, cis man). The two were lifelong students, alternating their time between practically living in libraries and traveling; with the two of them frequently visiting arcane landmarks that were teeming with naturally occurring magical energy. However, their peaceful lifestyle of focusing on their pursuit of arcane knowledge was soon interrupted by the outbreak of war. As both famine and plague spread across the continent, various kingdoms became desperate for resources and solutions.
Caught up in a battle for food, water, and knowledge, the two mages would be presented an ultimatum by their king: either join the war as battle mages or help heal the injured and sick. Either way they could not remain students any longer. Disobey him, and they would be considered traitors to their country. Both Alanis and Elyin knew little of the healing arts, not that it would have mattered if they did... After all, by the time severely sick or injured people were brought to safe spaces to be treated, they were already dead. Such frequent, never-ending death made the two wizards wonder if they couldn't stop death, perhaps they could reverse it?
There was trial and error... Comparisons of alterations to pre-existing spells such as speak with dead and animate dead. The problem with such spells is that it did not heal the damage done to the person and in turn, did not truly bring their soul back. They didn't want to create brief conversations with ghosts or skeleton soldiers. They wanted to bring back healed, living, breathing, and well rounded people. They wanted people to come back with their personalities and memories in tact.
Primarily using rats to test their ideas and theories, as time passed and more pressure was put on them by the king to hand over a completed and full-proof resurrection spell, the more Elyin was certain that the problem lied not within their spellcasting, but rather within their test subjects. In order to create a spell to resurrect people, they would need to practice on people. The only problem was that Alanis refused to use humanoid test subjects, and even though the king was invested in their work, he refused to allow them to cast their spell on any humanoid until they perfected it. The stressors of their job of creating a resurrection spell, and living during times of war, famine, and plague took a heavy toll on the two elven mages. They argued with increasing frequency and intensity. One fight even turned violent, resulting in Elyin killing Alanis. Elyin would go on to cast their resurrection spell on Alanis. However, he would purposefully alter the spell a bit, hoping to remove the memories of him killing Alanis from Alanis' mind. His alteration of their almost perfect spell would have dire and unforeseen consequences with Alanis not only losing a large chunk of his memories but multiple, large fragments of his soul.
Becoming both mentally and physically only a fragment of the man he used to be, Alanis would find himself craving raw, arcane power. Absorbing raw, arcane power into both is body and mind, he would start to rebuild himself. Sadly, no matter how much of himself he rebuilt, he would never feel whole due to him being incorrectly resurrected.
There would, however, be some perks to being resurrected and becoming made of blood, flesh, and raw arcane power. In addition to having the typical abilities of a level 20 dnd 5e wizard he would also gain the following abilities:
prolonged but not quite immortal lifespan
the ability to cast basic / first level healing spells such as cure wounds and healing word (dnd 5e)
being able to sustain himself with food and/or through absorbing arcane energy (similar to Gale in BG3)
once per long rest he can transfer the arcane energy he absorbed to another mage, helping them regain 2 spell slots. He takes 2 points of exhaustion doing this, however.
he is often mistaken for the elven god known as the Fate Caller, an elven wizard whose study of the arcane was so relentless he came to master all spellcasting types (cleric, warlock, etc). This mix up of identity happens due to his ability and his physical likeness to the god.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard -- The best way to fight a god is with another god, right? Rook & company chase rumors of the Fate Caller but find Alanis instead. The real Fate Caller remains elusive but Alanis is just as helpful, in his own way.
DC/Marvel/Superhero -- Alanis is an alien who after rescuing a gravely injured American astronaut is "invited" back to Earth. Sadly what starts as a voluntary trip soon leads to Alanis's capture. Alanis, who used both alien magic and technology to heal the astronaut is interrogated and tortured in a secret government compound. At the compound he is forced to teach the American government about his magic and tech. Despite their cruel treatment of him there are some spells and devices too powerful to be given to undeserving hands and minds. He slowly starts to refuse to share information. His refusals lead to harsher treatment. The government accidentally kills him and then uses a trial and error process to attempt to recreate the resurrection spell he refused to give them. The government resurrects him by pure chance. He comes back wrong, his memory full of holes and body far different than what he's used to. In some ways weaker and in some ways stronger, he manages to escape government captivity. He would likely be temporarily enemies with the heroes, with the heroes likely switching sides upon learning of his origins and the truth behind the government's involvement in his presence on Earth.
