the idea of the fupa (fat upper pubic area) is so bizarre and fucked up bc do yall not realize that thatâs usually just⌠fat womenâs stomachs? to avoid having our ass showing every time we bend over (even plus size clothes are usually limited by the fact that clothes and fashion are designed with thin bodies in mind), we have to wear high-waisted pants, and that means that the waistline of the pants covers up the part of our belly thatâs below the bellybutton.
i know talking about fat peopleâs bodies is disgusting to thin people, but yall are really fucking ignorant about how fat bodies work and what they look like!! get some fat friends, and start interacting with fat people your age the exact same way you interact with thin people your age
Fat bodies are not inherently unhealthy
Fat bodies are not an indicator of character
Fat bodies do not reflect laziness
Fat bodies are fat, thatâs literally it
If you have a problem with fat bodies, it is not the job of fat people to consistently apologize for their existence, it is a problem you need to work out on your own
Life can be so busy, and thatâs even more reason to give yourself some rest! đ⤠It can be hard buzzing around without a full tank of energy.

stop humiliating fat children/fat teens/fat young adults/fat adults/fat folks in general. stop questioning/speculating on our food intake, our energy out put, how our individual bodies must feel, what our health is,etc.

Fat girls in body-con dresses. Fat girls in lingerie. Fat girls in leggings. Fat girls in bikinis. Fat girls naked. Fat girls in whatever they want or not want to wear without being shamed or sexualized for it.
when well-intentioned thin ppl say that we âeat junk and are still skinnyâ as a way of trying to debunk the bullshit idea that fat ppl are fat bc they eat âwrongâ, this operates on some other levels that are probably unintended but nonetheless damaging.Â
thereâs often sth going on in this argument like âi do [bad behavior] and donât have [bad consequence], therefore [bad consequence] is not a necessary result of [bad behavior].â but first of all, fatness is not a bad consequenceâthatâs rly obviously fatphobia, right? and eating whatever you consider âjunkâ (i hate this term)âsay, highly processed and inexpensive foodsâis not a bad behavior. when we assent to the idea that it is bad, we participate in the stigmatization of ppl who eat these foods, and thatâs disproportionately poor people, racialized groups, and fat ppl. demonizing food is not where itâs at, for anyone. no food is categorically bad or good (oppression and lack of choice/access is universally bad and detrimental to health, ofc). for fat, racialized ppl who eat foods that are stigmatized, this dietary stigma is even more violent.Â
and for folks across the size spectrum with eating disorders (again this disproportionately impacts fat ppl), framing the eating of conventionally maligned foods as âbadâ is really dangerous and damaging.Â
try taking one of these lines of argument instead: people naturally fall across a wide size spectrum, and size is determined by a whole host of factors, mainly genetic. health (whatever that means) is available to some people and not to others, all across that spectrum. neither health nor size determines worth. all people deserve to be fed in ways that are accessible, pleasurable, and nourishing to them. and, oppressionâincluding what we euphemistically call âweight stigmaââis the greatest risk factor for ill health.Â

Just wanna say thank you to all the fat ladies that put themselves out there for fat acceptance everyday. Itâs a hateful, dangerous world and you will always have solidarity from me.
I always hate it when girls say âBut Iâm fat,â and then I automatically reply with âNo you arenât!â because that isnât what I want to say.
What I want to say is a century ago you would have been a goddess.
What I want to say is you are a goddess now.
What I want to say is that society stole that word from you.
What I want to say is âSo what? Fat does not mean ugly. Fat is not a bad word. You are fat. I am fat. And we are beautiful.â
What I want to say is fat and ugly are not synonymous.
What I want to say is my god, if you are fat, be fat, but fall in love with yourself all the same because you are so much more than weight and weight has never been everything.
But I always say âNo you arenât!â and they always know Iâm lying.
so dont say it
What are some other blogs by people who are in recovery/recovering you'd recommend? Twitters are fine too :)
Is it okay if I give a list of all the sites and blogs and twitters I recommend? Because itâs slim pickins for just people in recovery. Disclaimer that I donât agree with all of these sources on everything, but I think theyâre worthwhile.
