Kicking back with some #dickvandikeshow after a long day of pattern making, and adjusting, and mix & matching, and drafting, and draping, and ugh! But I love it. :) When working on an original concept drawing, I like start with a pattern I know, mock it up in muslin, pin it to my dress form and then go crazy with adjustments and such. It gives me a great base to work off of for new patterns. Looking forward to finishing this costume for wonder-con and getting through this last bit of recovery from my surgery last week! Fingers crossed it's the last one for a while! Nothing like getting that gym membership and then being told no strenuous exercise! 7 stitches and a week of rest later and I can finally sleep on my side again... kinda! Yay! 🎄Tis the season! 🎄 It still astounds me that i work with such an amazingly wonderful and awesome company! I am so lucky and honored to be a part of a family of people that go above and beyond like I've never seen before! Today I had the joy and honour to be whisked away to Toys R' Us to hand pick items to be donated to the United States Marine Toys for Tots program. We were able to pack a literal huge TRUCK FULL OF TOYS for donation!!🚚🎁🎁🎁 I can't believe it! 🎉 They gathered the entire company and we took a 3 hour trip to gather toys, books, and all sorts for such an amazing cause! 😃 Thank you to all of the amazing toys r us employees who helped ring up, box up, and pack everything! Miss Me? I know I've missed you! 🤗 Here's a sneak peak at my "office" and what I've been dealing with. I'm currently in the process of restoring as much as humanly possible from my hard drive(s) that failed during my move. :'( All my 3d print files, photography, and cosplay photos... gone. :'( But I'm working on getting some of it back right now. But, I am completely moved, setup, new job, new hair, new teeth?? Yeah... lots to share! I can't wait to share everything with you! So it's video time! I will be posting a quick tour of my new office and maybe share some details with you guys soon! We'll talk about what I've been up to, and what the future will hold! More cosplay? Yes! Silliness?? Wow.... Didn't need that today... 😔 I've been sick and working with my doctor trying to find out what has been wrong with me. It was a struggle and took almost two years to dignose and start to accurately medicate. but we have finally figured out a solution, that, thank god, is working. I have a chronic neurological disorder with no known cure. It has affected my sleep, my wakefulness, and my weight my entire life. And it will continue to do so, for the rest of my life And as much as I try to stay positive in all aspects of my life... I just didn't need that today....
