Believe it or not, your routine depended on several factors. How far off the deep end the family had gone, how long youโve been at the manor, how many privileges youโve earned, how compliant or defiant are you, and the familyโs own stress levels.
For one, weโll say youโve been at the manor for a couple of months now. Youโve earned enough privileges to be able to leave your damn room, but not enough to be able to return to something resembling a normal routine. Youโve been compliant enough to satisfy most of the familyโs obsession, but defiant enough that the family still doesnโt completely trust you. The familyโs stress levels are a bit higher than normal (which are already sky high).
No matter what factors youโve been (un)fortunately given by fate, your day always starts the same. Youโre woken up by the curtains being drawn open, one or more pairs of eyes gazing at you lovingly, and a hand gently shaking you awake. Sometimes itโs Bruce, sometimes itโs Alfred, and sometimes itโs one or more of your siblings.
Either way, youโre pulled out of your sleep and into the bleak depths of reality.
No matter who wakes you up, Alfred is the one who prepares you for the day. If he was the one who woke you up, youโre stuck with him for the first hour or two of your morning. If Bruce or one or more of your siblings woke you up, Alfred rushes in soon after to start freshening you up, immediately kicking out the offending family member.
He insists on being the one in charge of seeing to your morning and night routines, despite the protests and envy of everyone else.
No matter how old or capable you are, it doesnโt stop Alfred from picking out your clothes for the day, dressing you up, brushing your hair, and various other things. If heโs really gone off the deep end, he insists on brushing and flossing your teeth for you like a parent would for their toddler just learning about hygiene. Otherwise, he lets you brush and floss your teeth yourself.
If youโve been defiant lately, the family makes you take calming supplements in the morning, with Alfred ensuring you actually take them.
Assuming your preparing for the day goes without issue, youโre then taken downstairs to the breakfast table. Again, if Alfred has really gone off the deep end, he insists on carrying you like youโre a baby (or at least tries to). It doesnโt matter how big or heavy you are, Alfred will figure out something. Alfred has dragged around Bruce before.
Otherwise, he escorts you down the stairs and to the breakfast table normally.
Depending on who is at the manor that day, the table can have anywhere from one to two people to everyone and their dog.
Everyone at the table greets you. Some of them eagerly start to chatter your ear off, while others stay quiet.
After the hype dies down and food is served, the family talk about normal, mundane stuff in their life. Some of them try to coax you into contributing to the conversation, while others are just content with your mere presence.
Eventually, breakfast is wrapped up. Duke and Damian always make a point to hug you tight before leaving for school. Everyone else scatters around Gotham for their own shit, but there is always a few members who stay at the manor with you all day.
For one, Bruce. Bruce immediately takes you up to his office so he could work on WE stuff.
Again, if the family has gone off the deep end, youโre given shit like toys, coloring books, and kiddie puzzles to occupy yourself with while he works. Youโre also locked in the office with Bruce. Otherwise, if youโve been good, youโre free to roam the floor Bruceโs office is on as long as you stay on that floor.
If you try to go up or down the stairs, the band around your wrist notifies Bruce immediately. Said band tracks your location, heart rate, oxygen levels, step count, calorie count, sleep schedule, other vitals, and god knows what else. And no, youโre not allowed to take it off, but I digress.
This goes on for one to two hours, as Bruce doesnโt really work full 9-5 shifts. During those one to two hours, some other family members may or may not enter to spend time (or, if theyโre far gone, โplayโ) with you.
After those one to two hours are up, another family member can and will drag you off for bonding time. Steph might slip in, drag you to her room, and start painting your nails (regardless of your gender). Cass might take you to her personal dance studio to practice ballet and ASL with her. Tim might emerge from his room to teach you photography. Occasionally, Barbara shows up at the manor solely to spend time with you.
If itโs the weekend, Duke might be the one to take you to watch a PG-13 movie (again, if the family is off the deep end, nothing more than a G rated movie will grace your eyes). Damian might take you into the manor gardens to play with Titus, or paint with you.
Then lunch rolls around. Everyone at the manor eat the lunch Alfred serves, ensuring you eat every bite on your plate at the same time. Conversation is similar to breakfast, except they push ever so slightly more for you to contribute to the conversation.
After lunch, either Dick, Jason, or Barbara whisk you away, one of them most likely being at the manor by then. If itโs Dick, heโs having you do yoga and basic gymnastics, to ensure you get adequate exercise even in the manor. If itโs Jason, youโre either listening to him vent a bit while cleaning his guns, or a story in the library. If itโs Barbara, youโre either watching chick flicks with her, or being taught the very basics of coding (canโt let you get too good, lest you try to use those skills to attempt an escape).
By then, if itโs a weekday, Duke and Damian return home from school. Immediately, they start arguing over whose turn it is for bonding time. If itโs Dukeโs turn, youโre either playing (completely non-violent) video games with him, or watching him practice his light abilities. He claims that his control over his powers improves greatly when youโre around.
If itโs Damianโs turn, youโre watching animal documentaries with him while you both draw. Itโs his favorite way to unwind after a long day of dealing with the unavoidable pests at school, and your mere presence immediately relaxes him.
Then dinner rolls around. The scene is the exact same as other meals, except more people usually show up for dinner.
After, youโre swept away by Alfred, who considers this time his favorite time of the day. He likes to set you up with tea, a small bedtime snack, some puzzles or coloring books, and a show. Most likely, the show is Mr. Rogerโs or Sesame Street. If heโs still semi lucid and not fully off the edge, you could convince him to put on something like Regular Show. Otherwise, to Sesame Street with you.
About an hour before your bedtime, the family forbids you from any screens so you could unwind and sleep easier. Around that time, Alfred prepares you for bed.
He has you take a shower. If heโs off the edge, he straight up bathes you himself, with bath toys and all. He dresses you in pajamas, either lets you brush and floss your own teeth or does it himself, combs your hair, and tucks you into bed.
And then you cry yourself to sleep. Rinse and repeat.
