Subeta has the best art, hands down. I adore the art on Subeta, it is so well-drawn and just beautiful. However, when they have art that detailed and beautiful, I feel it kind of hinders the ability to have a character grow from it. There aren’t a lot of changes you can make to make the pet your own because the art is already amazing, I don’t want to change anything. Neopets art is definitely nowhere near the caliber of Subeta’s. You can easily build a character and design from the genericism of it. (Yes, I’m pretty sure I made that word up.) It has enough detail to be defined, while still allowing people to run with it. Acitius’ art is… god awful. Some of the pets are okay, and some are like, no why. I’m kind of excited about it, though. It gives that much more room to build on characters, and create your own adaptations from what is given. I thought I was going to just join, hoard names, and come back in a few years to see if they are worth anything later, but I have so many names that I’ve always sobbed over on Neopets. I have the ability to take the shitty art and adapt it however I see fit. I can only hope it gets better in the future, but who knows. It’s fun seeing the potential in less-popular, less-adapted sites, and I think that’s why it’s caught my interest.

Basically, I have an addiction with pet sites, but the one that truly owns my love is Subeta (and then Neopets is the whore that I just can't quite).
