I’m calling out the users Elliott and Rat, both staff members of the site (Head Moderator and Head Artist, respectively), for blatant theft because I would not trade Elliott a custom character I owned.

I’ll leave everything under a cut now ♥

A long, long time ago in 2015, I bought the first design from Pet Sales because a lot of people jumped ship and were selling characters left and right, since people were assuming Acitius was going to be hitting the fan. Back then, I actually bought this character from the user Monster, if I remember correctly. Not Elliott.

But fast forward to 2017, when Acitius takes new ownership and Elliott/Rat become staff under Brian, Elliott started asking to trade for Honey (which is the name the custom pet ended up with, with me) I unfortunately wasn’t interested in anything Elliott had and so I eventually traded the design to Titania at Verpets.com, then deleted the original pet on Acitius

I released a bunch of character names for free on Acitius for others to use very recently, and this is what I found just a little bit ago

Elliott had Rat draw a blatant copy and had still taken the design for themself -- on a name I happened to release

I even went ahead and spent the 1.5k WSG to remake the deleted version of Honey

Which I wouldn’t have had the ability to do if I’d traded this pet to Elliott instead of deleting it (The pet was renamed to Bell because someone already snatched the name Honey so I had to force rename)

I’ve alerted @mothyard (Haunt) via Discord and Acitius’ site owner Brian of this, but I am waiting to see the reply from Elliott and/or Brian before I tell Titania about the theft

Spoiler Alert: I have never played this site called “Eldemore”, not even back in 2014. If anyone tells you that I did, they are not correct/truthful.

Apparently Acitius staff are claiming that back in 2014, I tried pawning off a bunch of other Acitius users’ custom pets without notice/permission. I am not a fucking idiot to try pawning off what’s not mine for a quick virtual buck. Not to mention, I only know about “Eldemore” now because of the accusation.

This accusation has only arose after 3 years??? because of Elliott stealing a design, as you can read here, and me being vocal about it because yes, hello, no one’s characters are safe anymore on a site that had a pretty good set-up for roleplayers. Haunt was not happy about Elliott’s actions, so not only are Acitius staff giving a big fuck you to the real owner of the design who is Titania at Verpets, but to Haunt as the original designer/artist.

I looked up Eldemore because I thought “maybe I played” but I knew for damn certain I’d never sold things that were not mine. I’ve never seen this site before. Not the pets, not the layout, none of it. I don’t even like those hatch-and-grow adoptables sites like Eldemore appears to be -- I tried Squiby back in early high school years and that is the most of my experience with them. I really didn’t like Squiby, the whole genre is a turn-off for me. (Okay I might have briefly tried Pokemon ones too but only because they were Pokemon. They didn’t stick either.)

So no, the Eldemore/Acitius character thief was not me. I’m not even sure how to even prove that because literally, I have never even been on that site until less than 30 minutes ago.

I would have been 19 at the time too -- I was way too busy with graduating high school and also doing some college classes at the same time because I wanted to up my game. (Okay but my game wasn’t that good. I fell flat on my face in the college courses.) But by 19 years old, I was very aware that theft is not okay, not physically and not digitally.

HERE IT IS, EVERYONE BRIAN IS OKAY WITH PEOPLE HAVING THEIR CHARACTERS STOLEN AS LONG AS THEY’RE REDRAWN, EVEN IF IT IS A CARBON COPY.

I ended up telling Titania that her character was stolen and also received a reply from Brian.

What I’ve mainly gathered from this is that, Acitius staff will let you own any character as long as you have it redrawn for your use, no matter if it’s a copyright character or someone’s personal beloved character. Talk about sleazy -- I highly advise no one submit customs here ever, in that case.

There was nothing to enforce about the off-site trade. Titania and I traded fairly, there were no issues. The issue is that, and as I replied to Brian, “Elliott is having their cake and eating it too because I would not trade them instead.”

EDIT1: I’ve sent this to Haunt as well -- I’ve owned designs by her before and she’s stated that it’s okay as long as a) they aren’t sold for more than they were bought and b) the art/design is properly credited to her (actually, she stated it just last night, so I can even screenshot/quote this.)

EDIT2: Haunt is privately messaging Brian to confirm that I was allowed to trade.

Elliott has also ignored my private message and in the time I peeked the Online Users list, they had been on the Terms of Service multiple times.

2. If it is not yours, leave it alone. This means you should not attempt to gain access to another user’s account or anything located therein. Attempting to gain access to another user’s account may result in the banning of your own account, and may result in a permanent ban from the site. 2a. Do not impersonate other users, even as a joke. Impersonating staff members may result in the banning of your account. 2b. Do not claim other’s artwork as your own, or do anything else which implies you are the rightful owner and/or creator of content that you do not own/did not create. If you want to use someone else’s work, ask them and respect their wishes. It is a good idea to keep documentation of their permission on hand, as Acitius Staff may ask for proof.

To make matters even worse, I’m starting to forget the names and basic personalities of some of the characters I had on there. I can remember a lot of the important/oldest ones, but some of them are being forgotten, and I don’t like it. I can’t even go back to remind myself who and what everyone was.

dont play Acitius lol back in like April/May, there was a rule change about accounts (previously you could have three) and so now you can only have one with all your pets, and already existing accounts could either remain as three or you could mail the site owner Brian to have them all merged I was one of the users to suggest this multiple times because others also expressed wanting it 3 months later, I can’t get any of the staff to give some sort of update even though some users did get merged && Brian has blatantly ignored mails from me in relation to this (the mail outbox has unread messages in bold. read ones aren’t bold.)

this was promised to only take a few days && it’s really shitty to be doing this to your userbase at least give some sort of heads up than just shrugging off a curious user
