something SO self indulgent solely for the fact that James Ortiz is eligible for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his performance in PHM. Practical effects in movies are so so important to me, and I was SHOCKED to find out Rocky was a puppet and not completely CGI. Idk it just makes me so excited and happy when movies utilize puppetry and prosthetics and real, intricate sets and wire work and take the time to let artists create things by hand because that heart really comes across in the film. I really hope he gets it because that would be absolutely insane.

eva stratt i am thinking about you. woman whose job is to do absolutely whatever is fucking necessary, at literally any cost, and take all of the blame for it. woman whose job is to stand at the lever of the trolley problem and pull the lever over and over and over without a second of hesitation, until the person tied to the tracks is the only person she has ever considered a friend and an equal, and for the first time in her entire life you watch her flinch as she pulls the lever but still, she does not hesitate. woman who loves the world so much that she is willing to cause untold devastation just to give it a sliver of a chance at surviving. i need to go lay down.
