Honestly, this idea revolutionized my relationship with men. I didn’t have the vocabulary just the feeling, the very annoyed yet apathetic feeling of experiencing a man talk at me about a subject in which I was either already well versed or had no interest. These men, they go on and on about their interests in the most banal of subjects and I’m nodding my head until my eyes jiggle out, already finished my latte at turbo speed because I don’t get to talk I just get to listen and now I’m listening to my blood pressure go up as he’s STILL talking about the nuances of pale ales versus IPAs and my body is dying at a faster rate and I’ll never live to see another day because my brain is at its information capacity (all about beers now) and eventually self-destructs.
