I wonder why i got an ask like this?? I don’t think I’ve mentioned Nirei being my favorite character more than one time on here?

Personally, I like Nirei because I feel he’s very brave despite what little physical strength he has, and I think that all of his bravery makes up for the lack of it. Also, for all the things he’s been through, he still remains kind and caring towards everyone. All the little quirks he has and all the minor details are also something I love about him! I think that how this person described him is how nirei might describe himself.

Feeling useless and inferior is something that Nirei struggles with, and I also like to wonder whether or not he views him and his questions as annoying— especially after the latest chapters. And talking about the ‘just there’ thing, Nirei probably feels so irreplaceable. Like he doesn’t matter and his presence makes no difference to Sakura, Suo, or even Furin for that matter.

UGGGHHHHHHHH I reallly reallyyyy wanna write more about this, and when I have the chance i wanna do a deeper dive into Nirei as a character. He’s just so cool to me and I love all the headcanons i’ve seen of him as of late!!

GOD that ‘just there’ feeling is something I really wanna capture in my writing. 😭 Maybe a fic where he starts to fall deeper and deeper into his thoughts, and he starts thinking that all his friends think that same way about him— and then maybe at the end of it, one of them assures him that it’s all in his own head, and his thoughts don’t correctly reflect how his friends all feel about him.

Though honestly, I’d like a fluffier version of that as well— maybe Nirei expresses his feelings of inferiority to maybe Kiryu or something, whether it be just a slip of the tongue or something he’d been keeping in for a while and just blurted out, after that, the whole fic would be about making Nirei feel wanted and loved— (not that they don’t already, but to make him believe it as well.)

THAT WOULD BE SOO CUTE OH MYY GODDDD I cannot get enough fluff. Also, this next idea is more of a personal head canon and projection,— Nirei and Suo sitting down together, and Nirei expresses a feeling of being sort of like a spectator of humans. Something that he can see, watch, and even sometimes commentate on— but never, ever, EVER be apart of. And while Nirei is ranting and expressing this thought to Suo, he’s staring down at the ground— not being able to meet suo’s eyes. After he’s done, he’d let out a sigh— then he’d realize Suo hadn’t been speaking or responding that entire time. So he looks up, and when he does— Suo is just looking at him dumbfounded, but also empathetically. Then he’d say something like—

“You get that too?”

AHHHHHHHHHHH I’M GENUINELY FREAKING OUT I WANNA WRITE THIS SO BAD!!!!!

I LOVE ALL OF THEIR FRIENDSHIPS AND WHAT NOT. ALL OF THEM JUST BEING REALLY GREAT FRIENDS MAKE ME SOOOO HAPPY.

the closeness, and utter understanding that they have of each other makes me wanna sob. 😭 And AFTER Suo says that, Nirei only doubles the ranting— finally having someone to share sidelines with. OH MY GOD ‘SHARE THE SIDELINES WITH’ I LOVE THAT IF I EVER MAKE A FIC ABOUT THIS I’D REALLYYY WANT THAT SENTENCE TO BE AT THE END.

Wait no I think I’m actually stupid I think. I don’t know what happened i don’t think this was not a kind ask 😭 I really couldn’t tell you at what point I lost the plot, the last thing this person probably wants me to do is talk about how much I like nirei I’m so dumb 🫩. Sorry for the rant!!
