After a random Facebook story that @kimlynnh posted, @skye_munroness got in touch with me because she liked the outdoor setting she saw in the video, which from memory was hardly even featured. She wanted to see if I would make another one for her families awesome new property that is set amongst some the most wonderful Aussie bush. Obviously, of course I was happy to replicate my design, however, this one came out even better than the first one. It is made completely out of reclaimed pallet timber and steel collected from a junk pile on a local sheep farm (excluding some screw and a bit of glue π). The colours and grains in this reclaimed timber never ceases to amaze me, I genuinely would look at it for so long I would forget what I was meant to be doing. Itβs fair to say I feel a real sense of cognitive dissonance when receiving compliments and nice comments about some of the things I have made, whether it be some artwork or a piece of furniture. I genuinely feel awkward about it and never really know how to reply properly. I mean I usually just say βthank youβ or something similar but it never feels like it is delivered with the same robustness, but I really do appreciate it and am constantly working on accepting the compliments rather than being freaked out by it. So when people reach out and are willing to part with their hard earned coin and invest in my craft and support me in my passions it can be kind of overwhelming when I actually take a moment and let myself think about it.
