Main Details

Emelia is an 18 year old girl of English descent. She and her family moved to the colonies when she was 15, and moved to her current town from the first when she was 17. 

Emelia has 4 (living) siblings, all boys. She is the middle child. Her eldest brother, 28 year old Joseph, works as assistant to the mayor of a "nearby" town a few days away, and her second eldest brother Phillip (age 22) is a lumberjack. Her two younger brothers are twins, both 15 years old. Her parents are notoriously overzealous about rules and manners.

Despite being of marrying age for a few years, Emelia has remained without a husband. Purely by choice and determination. Her parents have tried countless times to have her wed, but she's so far managed to escape matrimony. Needless to say, they're not pleased with her. However, she finds the idea of marriage completely distasteful. The notion that she'd be cooped up in a house to look after kids for the rest of her days is not one she finds ideal, or the slightest bit fun, and rejects marriage until she finds someone SHE chooses, WHEN she chooses.

Emelia is both mature and immature; it truly does depend on the topic/situation at hand. Whatever she decides, however, she will stick to quite stubbornly, and changing her mind is no easy task for most people to do. She isn't fond of acting "proper" as a lady in her culture should, and will often run off to play in the forest with whoever is there, be it hide and seek or seeing who can climb trees the fastest.

Extra Details

She is a skilled baker, and will often help the two women who run the bakery come up with recipes. She works as an assistant to them.

Emelia has naturally curly hair. It is a lighter brown, and about a foot long since she cut it. Her eyes are moss green, and she has freckles.

She isn't very good at sewing, and often makes it worse in the process of trying to fix things.

Despite her family being Christians, she actually prefers the old religion she heard about in old stories back in England. The old beliefs of the land, which worshiped a mother goddess and whose stories were filled with giants and faeries and that claimed there was life even in the trees. She's never been sure how much she believes in it, but the stories always enchant her, and she dreams of meeting one of the kindred spirits someday.

Because Emelia originally began as an anonymous OC speaking with a human!Jack Frost, she resides in the settlement of Burgess. Simply because it feels like it fits to me, this will continue being the case. 

Her favorite color is pale blue, but her favorite flower is red carnations. They vaguely remind her of the beautiful dresses that dancers from Spain wore when they came to her town when she was small, and she thinks they're very lovely and nice smelling. 

She has a hard time committing to things that bore her. She's quite energetic, and often doing something or other. If she's bored by a task or has to sit too long however, she'll have a difficult time focusing (regardless of how hard she tries).

I roleplay in story format. My responses can be anywhere from a few sentences to a few paragraphs... whatever the thread requires.

This is a side blog. Therefore, I cannot send asks through this blog, and I'm not sure how answering them will work. Suppose I'll find out.

I am cautious about which I accept, but I do take magic anons.

Though Emelia is a girl from the early 1700s, I do have limited knowledge regarding the time period. If I am incorrect, inaccurate, or otherwise wrong about something I write, feel free to let me know.

I don't do pregnancy threads. I'm hesitant to write angst type threads, simply because my emotional state is not the best and my depression (especially in the time during and surrounding spring) is easily provoked. I will however do it if I think I can manage and that's where the interest is.

I am a horribly slow roleplayer and I very very easily lose threads. Please be patient with me, and feel free to remind (but not nag!) me if I owe you something. If I am not feeling well, I will let you know, and reply as soon as I am feeling up to it.

I am okay with shipping, but shipping Emelia is not the goal of my roleplaying, nor will it be a primary focus (hopefully).

Who I go to roleplay with will much of the time revolve around the fandom I am in at the time. For example, as I begin this blog, I am incredibly interested in Rise of the Guardians, so I may spend a lot of time roleplaying with RotG blogs. So on and so forth.

I am not good at developing characters. I'm not good at making good characters. Emelia will probably not be the best character... but I will try my best, despite my lack of skill.
