ive seen people blame ‘fandom nostalgia’ for the hate the pjo show gets, and in some cases i agree with it some people just hate change in general and they hate the casting because they want everything to be exactly like how it is in the books, and that fits under fandom nostalgia,
but also refusing to see how porrly written the show and the characters are is also fandom nostalgia, just in the slightly different way
the first group of people are the ones emotionally attatched to the books, the ones that hate all changes and would never be happy with an adaptation unless it was an exact 1:1 replica,
while the other side of this are the people emotionally attatched to rick himself. they dont think he can do any (or much, at least) wrong and they get offended when you even speculate
both of these are fandom nostalgia, just in different ways
