yemen is the poorest nation in the arab world. but in two weeks time, it did what no oil or gas- rich arab nation could do. by seizing three ships and costing i****l more than 2 billion by forcing its ships to go around africa, yemen showed up.
Just a reminder that Yemen has risked it ALL for Palestine, as they are going through one of the worst humanitarian crisis' ever. Due to their resilience, the puppets at the UN have decided to exclude them from the world food program. Yemen is STARVING. Please consider donating towards their hunger crisis. Let's show up for Yemen.

one thing about retail layoffs i've noticed is they always get rid of physically disabled employees first. it's just fucking sad. you have no right to act like you're such a progressive company for accommodating disabled employees when they're the first to be thrown under the bus.
this is doubly awful because a lot of these disabled employees are working the job in the first place despite the dangers it poses because they're in deep poverty. almost all of my physically disabled coworkers are on the brink of homelessness.
it's just like, impossible for me to act like any of this is something that should be acceptable. capitalism is a fucking disease. it's no wonder CEOs lack a conscience, we're supposed to accept that you're only worth LIVING if you can bring in a profit.
Every able-bodied person that uses disabled people as Canon fodder for their anti-ai art arguments is going to get a brick in the teeth from me :)
"Plenty of disabled people have learned to paint with their mouth and feet!"
What am I, a fucking monkey? Why is it up to you chuckle fucks how I live with my disability?
That Jewish person who sent me the ask, questioning their identity had me thinking a lot: are anti-Zionist Jews that scarce? Is Zionism really all that entrenched in various communities, institutions and congregations? Is it such a normalized political idea that being anti-Zionist is considered a contradiction of your Jewish identity?
for some context, i was isolated from my community before i was antizionist, for reasons unrelated to the religion itself, but in my experience yeah
i wouldn't say antizionist jews are scarce necessarily zionism is absolutely entrenched in a way that antizionism is not. i was taught about israel in sunday school. i was not taught about it's history or lack thereof and i was not taught about palestinians nor was i taught about gaza strip or the west bank really at all. specific memories are pretty hazy in general for me because of the amnesia (unrelated), but i have this vague memory of seeing a map of "israel" and asking what the west bank was. pointing at the large almost tumor-like shape and saying that border didn't really make sense to me. it wasn't shaped like mountain ranges or rivers. it wasn't shaped like borders usually seem to be shaped. i think they told me it was part of jordan. i also didn't know what jordan was, and considering i also had no knowledge of palestine and i was young enough that adults knew everything anyway, i just,, accepted that into my understanding.
i learned about israelis building settlements in language that made it sound like a human rights project. building houses in the middle of nowhere i guess. saying stuff like "natural materials" and telling us the land was just desert so they were building houses there. i was also really bored. i was like 6 or 8 or something and did not want to be there.
so yeah they start young. they don't tell you all the details they just tell you what sounds good. i don't think i was in the most aggressively zionist spaces either it was a more casual sort of conditioning... but because some extent of zionism is all i've ever known in terms of community spaces and organized congregations, being antizionist often feels like community and congregation is something i won't be able to find again. it often feels like i won't be able to reconnect on any organized basis even if my disconnect wasn't related to all this.
side note btw i didn't learn the word "zionism" until much later (still before i learned about any of the history of "israel" and before i learned anything about palestine and palestinians). the word was mentioned and it was an unfamiliar word so i asked what it was. i was told something along the lines of "it's the belief that jews have a right to self determination" and i said something like "oh. that's good." i didn't know what self determination really meant either but that specific environment was one in which i had (and still have) a lot of walls up and since i didn't wanna feel stupid or be an inconvenience, i simply didn't ask what that meant. i just thought it sounded like a good thing.
they’re vibing and it is amazing,,, so many noodles
on the internet it's been harder for the US to lock in a pro-israel narrative among US citizens but watching news on the tv it's like an insane level of pro-israel propaganda, if you're in the US and getting news from mainstream TV channels it's an alternate reality. and all news channels not just fox news or whatever, CNN is just as bad
keep this in mind the next time the US government talks about banning a news outlet or social media app for "national security reasons"
the national security concern is them not controlling the narrative. look at the freakout over tiktok being "too pro palestine"

This genocide never has been about the hostages, never will be about the hostages.
Mind you, the IDF shot and killed three hostages today. (They spoke Hebrew and held up a white flag in surrender btw).
If you still think this is about the hostages you are gravely mistaken and your ignorance is profound. 🇵🇸
