Enter: Nyss, the lovely hybrid prince of his mother’s tribe.
I debated for a while whether or not to keep my original idea for him being a hybrid (my love for realism warring with my need for unique ocs), but I enjoy the characterization of potential genetic drawbacks and weaknesses of him being a cross between two different species of bug. Skarr and orchid mantis, specifically. So he gets to keep his parents the way they are.
His weapons are more similar to a regular scout’s than his mother’s or father’s, being circular chakrams and a glaive/spear, respectively. If it weren’t for the aesthetic/cultural appeal of dancing with chakrams, he’d probably wield some sort of dagger or just nix the concept of carrying a weapon altogether.
There’s nothing like a home away from home
