While I did suggest various avenues one could take to discuss the BS, I am not willing to do it myself bc the show has thoroughly killed my ability to suspend disbelief regarding their shitty narratives

We know why the characters have ended up the way they are. Misogyny. Racism. Horrendously incompetent crew. Etc.

Said catboy doesn’t receive consequences for anything he does which include: nearly “cataclysming” (aka turning to dust which should technically translate to attempted murder?) a black girl on the basis she might be a sentimonster (also no you can’t even kill a senti that way, so why even add this??); breaking a chimney because the unwilling “love of his life” had shared something important with the same black girl rather than trust it to him; in a desperate situation where a whole city was being drowned, threatened to revoke his miraculous because again the MC was keeping secrets from him and also sees his job as “play”.

Meanwhile the MC is cringy because of her crush at several points but she receives consequences for her actions and others too.

They have grandad de vanilly being an asshole to everyone including his wife, literally saying "keep your useless opinions to yourself" and "suffer in silence like you're used to" to her, and in the end he's redeemed because he likes french fries.
