Rubys desc said that shes the rebel sister or smth like that and it breaks my heart cuz w the way june is ive never thought of her to be an older sister. Change ANYTHING but the number of MCs, make jack blond or smth like they did w percy, make rover be able to talk, make dirk have a colored mohawk, literally ANYTHING else.
Also why is dirk 19? Like i get he most likely got held back a few years but now Quirk feels weird💔.
Sometimes my parents (and myself) forget that even tho im fully indonesian and lived there since birth till i was 6 yrs old, english is my dominant language.
At the end of 2024, i was playing in a desert w kids of my dads friend, there were lots of small kinda sharp branches buried in the sand and we were playing barefoot. So when we went to the adults for a water break, i told my mom "ada banyak bangkai" Which i thought meant "theres many branches/sticks". She had ts look of " Tf did you js say" And her friend was equally confused and concerned, so i elborated, "theyre like a bit sharp and its under the sand, idk where theyre growing from but theres no leaves and stuff". Turns out, "tangkai" Is the right word, "bangkai" Meant CARCASS 😔💔

im using ts jinx photo as reference for a jack drawing and omg its so hard to colour i cant get the shading right im crashing out
I have little to no reference on ur art program nor am I a professional so I can’t be very specific to you, but in general for this piece the shading is based in cool and warm colors, as well as high contrast between the two, the light on her skin here is a more saturated and cooler version of her actual skin, as well as evening out with a warmer, but not quite the same yellow to ease the transition from a saturated blueish green to the warmer purplish color used for her skin
But for the sake of simplicity for now, just map out where you want the light to hit and the direction it’s coming from (here it’s above and a little to the right) color pick straight from the image, use the yellow as a break from the color in spots where the light isn’t hitting as hard
Also, I am spouting pure observations, might help to look up a quick tutorial on drawing colored lighting on YouTube/tiktok/whatever ur comfortable with

Edit: i realized i did the light parts warm/yellow-orange toned while the shadows were cool/green-blue toned, so thats smth to fix. Hopefully the paper doesnt rip🤞
