First post LMAO

hello i was watching everyone posting here for a while and i wanted to post too soo heres my drawing bout sullitoro

I was lockin in while making this drawing and im REALLY proud of it. I need to improve more bout the clothes and the HANDS but nvm, idc bcuz im happy w the results. Tried my best.

Also this drawing is dedicated to my AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS GIRLFRIEND (i love her sm)

FIRST POST‼️

i didn't know what i was tryna draw at first but as soon as i locked in on it, i imagined Jack tryna comfort June during prom (ignore the background, i know it's an outdoor bleachers.)

Anyways, for the clothes, i was thinking of just doing the opposite colors since y'know, June is blue and Jack is red... but yeah, I'm really glad on how it looks though i noticed that her arms weren't really touching her knees but whatever, i can't really do anything about it. (also, the song 'Walk to Class' or 'Hesitating' by Malcolm Todd sort of fits the vibe?? i dont know, i was listening to him while doing the whole thing.)

I'll re-draw it later with a actual refrence(that neck desr GOD) but i'm still proud of it since any art is better than no art

It's nearly the end of summer and only now have they found the absolute jackpot!

A secluded section of the beach that the zombie torch help keep clear with straight access to the ocean.

He wanted desperately to dive in but he couldn't yet couldn't let the others see any of it.

He sunbathed on the beach while dirk and quint played in the ocean june said she was working on her tan too.

Later that evening when everyone was distracted he ventured back down.

He put on a swin suit and dive straight in.

The reaction was near instant.

His legs lost their carefully put illusion that he had found in a library book one time... definitely some kind of interdimensional thing possibly relating to the apocalypse now that he thinks about it.

But it helped him hide scales all over his body when the weather got too warm for long shirts and trousers.

His legs stitched together muscles and joints popped and clicked into new places, a surprisingly painless experience but it did make him want to barf everytime.

He flexes his red and black tail, the first time he had ever transformed and possibly sent his foster family insane(oops) he had done tons of research after and knew a weird amount about fish and discovered his tail is closest to that of a koi! Specifically a bekko koi.

He stretches his back which is now covered in scales along with the rest of his body.

He gently picks at one of the scales they shimmer from the setting sun reflecting the water.

He doesn't even notice the splash in the water a bit behind and above him.

Until he feels the water move and turns around.

He yelps as he spots june watching him intently a strange look in her eye, a mixture of cunfusion and fascination.

"June?!" He says feeling utterly doomed his biggest secret was revealed and–.

Wait hold on.

June has a tail too.

Shark-like yellow-y grey smooth skin.

"Jack you're a mer too?" June asks suddenly out of her trance.

She swims over with practiced easy which makes jack jealous cuz' hes only been allowed in a small pool once, he wasnt even allowed to swim that much.

Not that his rather long tail for a koi would let him.

"You're a, uh. lemon shark right?" Anxiety bubbles in his throat he doesnt know if its the fact hes right next to a shark, though hes pretty sure koi arent prey nor will sharks eat them so maybe its down to the fact no one has ever known about him being a mer since he was seven and the though of people knowing sends goosebumps over his skin.

"Yeah, what are you? Some kind of koi?" June asks circling him "Uh yeah, bekko koi, how did you discover being a mer?"

June looks at him strangely, "my family are mers ive known my whole life... you didn't?" She pauses her circling realising how tense he was.

"Not really" he laughs awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.

" I, uh. I didn't know until I was 7." He hopes that'll satisfy June's question not wanting to reveal any more information.

"Why did your family not know, or did they not tell you until you were older?"

Jack sinks down a little struggling to find the words.

"June. I'm an orphan..." his voice is quite cautious, he remembers his outburst at June's house but the whole thing was so tension-filled, he's not surprised she forgot.

June freezes colour draining from her face slightly.

"Oh. I'm. I'm sorry"

Awkward silence follows neither really wanting to speak up about what had just transpired.

Jack looks around, the surrounding water is surprisingly clear, he supposes thats part of being a mer. Then he spots something glistening on the floor.

He looks back at june whoses awkwardly looking around.

Jack dives down to the shiny thing. Its a piece of sea glass its yellow. Similar shade to junes tail.

He swims back up.

"Look what I found!" He says presenting the seaglass to june with a big grin on his face.

June stares at his with cunfusion and quite a it of surprise.

"What?" He eventually asks slumping a bit and staring at the seaglass like it personally offended him.

"You– you do know what that means right?" June asks.

"Does what mean?" He shoots back cunfused as ever

"Giving another mer a rock or coral or whatever of their colour is kinda like asking to be in a– a relationship" June finishes with a bit of a blush.

Jack turns red, like strawberry red, no, like tomato red, wait which ones redder?

"I. Uh didnt mean it that way. You can still have it though. Just im not meaning whatever you say it means, just thought it was pretty and you'd like it" he finishes the last bit quieter almost whispering.

June blinks at him before slowly taking it.

"Thank you Jack. It's beautiful."

His heart skips a beat, hes pretty sure hes redder then a tomato now.

Quint and dirk far up on the beach, who had followed jack and june out worried they were getting themselves into trouble just stared.

"You think they figured it out yet?" Dirk asked sipping at his diet coke.

"I think they need to take their time," Quint added.

"Taking their time is sure time-consuming," Dirk remarked bored.

"Agreed friend" Quint said sipping at his coke

"You sure you should have that? You normally drink diet?" Dirk asks
