I thought it'd be really interesting if he himself was once a magical instrument (a lyre perhaps) that escaped his creator, and the form we see him in technically counts as a "monster" form akin to that the other instruments take. While he tries very very hard to look like a Hylian he's still got a lot of quirks that give him away as something not quite right. Stuff like reflective eyes and claws. He could technically still take that instrument form again but hell if he's going to.

He's not actually related to Vaati but likes to pretend he is for the clout (it also makes him feel lonely a lot of the time since he has no real family or connections to anybody else). He's just a little freak trying to make it in this world.

oh these are very good takes on him!! i like the idea of him being an instrument passing off as a hylian, like a musical version of Ghirahim LOL. reflective eyes + sharp claws are always a+ tier design which i always like to give to him, i dont consider my version of him to be hylian either :)
