hello! i definitely owe whoeverโs wondering an update about whatโs going on with this blog, so iโm gonna cut straight to the chase.
iโve been inactive for more than a few months now which is a decision i made for myself. around the time i went inactive, i was in a terrible place mentally and writing was not a very effective outlet anymore. i had already noticed the drop in my motivation & interest weeks prior so i was expecting something like this to happen sooner or later. basically, i donโt have a passion for writing anymore. it makes me sad to say that because i used to really enjoy it, but the more time i spent on this blog, the more pressure i felt to do it ๐ฅฒ
i took the time to think about what i wanted to do and iโve come to the conclusion that this blog is either gonna be deleted or turned into an archive. i genuinely donโt see myself writing anything past my collab piece, so i think itโs best if i let go of this once itโs released. thereโs a very high chance iโll be archiving it because (i hate to say it) there are still things i want to stay up even when iโm gone. but for now, iโm stayingโฆ ๐ฌ at least for a few more weeks.
anyways, thatโs all regarding the blog! iโll be back around with a new fic in some time and hopefully by then, i wonโt be such a mess typing another post like this.

your eyes struggle to stay open once you rest your cheek on your palm, the bright screen of your laptop now blurry with all the words mushed together. you can hardly make out chanโs illuminated face thatโs only a few inches away from yours, checking to make sure youโre still conscious. you avert your eyes in embarrassment, a wave of heat washing over your face. his familiar laughter sounds in the air as he reaches over to pat the top of your head then ruffle your hair, a small smile etched across his features.
โi believe thatโs enough for you tonight, sweetheart. itโs been two hours without a break.โ
you lean into his touch and quietly hum in satisfaction, shutting your eyes as he continues to play with your hair. โfive more minutes,โ you mumble beneath your breath. he tucks a strand of hair behind your ear, letting his fingertips linger on the shell of it for a moment before he sighs.
โyou canโt use the โfive more minutesโ card on me again. you need to rest.โ although his words come out as more of a command, his voice is soft-spoken. the quiet music streaming from his laptop mixed with the gentleness of his voice is nearly enough to lull you to sleep. chanโs hand returns to his lap and he tilts his head to the side, noticing the way your eyebrows knit together as you try to get a coherent sentence off your tongue.
โbutโฆ i need to finish this chapter,โ you utter, attempting to sit up straight once again with the last few ounces of energy you have left.
โit can wait until tomorrow,โ he tells you, standing up from his seat then stepping over to your side of the table. you grumble as you slump over it, placing your forehead down on the cold surface. another laugh bubbles in his chest at the sight, but he claps once heโs beside you.
โand up!โ he guides you, grabbing your upper arm and pulling you toward his chest. you lazily wrap your arms around his frame and rest your head on his shoulder, releasing a deep breath as you relax against him.
โthis is why we donโt study this late into the night,โ he lilts, his arms securing themselves around you. he takes a moment to just hold you, alternating between rubbing and patting your back.
โpfft, we? you didnโt even study,โ you reply to his comment earlier, bringing a hand up to lamely smack his chest. chan chuckles and takes your hand in his, smoothing his thumb over the back of your palm.
โi was studying.โ
โstudying what exactly?โ
โโฆ you.โ
โmm, cheesy, arenโt you?โ you speak into his sweatshirt, muffling your words with the fabric to conceal how flustered you are. he chuckles in response, his thumb now running across your knuckles.
โyou know, youโre cute when youโre focused,โ he adds, releasing your hand to comb his fingers through your hair. you hum to brush off his statement, blinking slowly as you fight to stay awake. he mimics your hum with a grin on his face, patting your back.
โokay, iโll take us to your room now,โ he says, pressing a kiss on the side of your head before leaning over to shut off both yours and his laptop. chan takes small steps to the bedroom, making sure the two of you donโt stumble on something on the ground. once he reaches the room, he pushes the door open and leads you to your bed, carefully laying you down.
โare you staying the night?โ you ask, stretching your limbs across the mattress. he smiles down at you and nods, slipping off his sweatshirt before sliding into bed beside you. he pulls the blanket up for the both of you before scooting over and draping an arm across your waist.
โgโnight, chan,โ you mutter, in which he responds with a chaste kiss to your shoulder and cheek.
