with the inevitable flood of people coming over to tumblr from twitter, i thought i'd post a few tips to try and minimise any friction between minecraft and mcyt bloggers
don't cross-contaminate with tags. if you post about minecraft as in the game, keep to minecraft/mineblr tags. if you post about minecraft content creation, such as dsmp, keep to mcyt/fandom specific tags.
block liberally. no, seriously. tumblr pretends it's a glitch when someone blocks you and we don't have a group chat feature, so you can never really tell. if you don't like someone, block them and move on. if you don't like their posts, block them and move on.
if someone's content keeps slipping through the cracks, add their url to your blacklist of post content. go to account settings -> filtering and add their exact username in your blocked content, and any posts by them will be hidden on your dash.
don't make minecraft posts about mcyters. don't be obnoxious in reblogs. be respectful of dnis, don't take them personally, and realise that we literally cannot be fucked with discourse.
other than that, have fun. don't be obnoxious, be nice to people and be respectful.
