We got married when I was 19 (I’m 20 now) This was our first deployment together and boy it broke me down. We were basically newlyweds about to be separated for 7 months. When he left, I was fine.. for the first week. Second week: I was having nervous breakdowns at work and everything, and i knew he was stressed too. It was so hard for us. I remember on our first date, he told me he was in the navy and I then proceeded to avoid him for about two months 😂 because i knew i couldn’t handle the lifestyle but now here we are, married and happy. I wouldn’t trade this for the world. It takes strength to be a military wife, great strength. I love this man with all my heart & every breath in my body.

The love of my life is finally coming back home from deployment next month! We have this awesome count down going on and so far we have 21 days left. My heart is happy and full. Once he’s back we will move in together… I’m so happy y'all. 😭💕

The best thing to do is stay busy! That last thing you want is to be at home in bed all day sad! It's gonna be hard and some days will be better than others! But the more busy you are time flies! Also if you get contact cherish those moments focus on the positive always! And make those moments last until the next call or email or letter you get. And stay strong YOU GOT THIS! This is all very new to me, first time ever blogging anything but with the many changes in life over the last year (becoming a military girlfriend being the biggest thing) trying something new is always exciting and could be a big help in getting support from other young ladies and gents living the military life. Mmmhmmm!!!! None of it ever makes sense! Am I right ladies!?

When my husband and I got married he was deployed when all the paperwork had to be filed so I did it all alone and boy was it a hassle took us a whole year to live together. So our first year of marriage was spent apart unfortunately and it was hard. But for me I went with him, I gave up my career to be with my husband because when I got married I knew sacrifices would have to be made. I figured I was smart and had some pretty decent skills and could just find a new job or start another business and I did and we are pretty well off now! Thank God! BUT that took time and patience and arguments in between. If you know exactly what you want to do then finish school but if you have the option to maybe find a school of your interest in Alaska so you can get the best of both worlds I'd highly recommend that they even offer online courses find your middle. And really think about it follow your heart not everyone makes the same decisions I did or would agree with what I did but I beyond happy with my decision to follow him and I continue to support him and still deliver for my family.

So sorry for late respond for what it's worth now (all late) I would suggest next year going to like the base little get together a they have for explain at Camp Pendleton they have this forth of July bash on the beach and it's pretty fun! Or I know for some they could do fireworks at a distance so instead they'll go to like a park where they do a firework show for about an hour.

No one ever really knows exactly how someone feels because all of our situations are a little different but I can relate. Honestly the best advice I can give you is ignore it. You love him so don't let other people interrupt your relationship. Stay strong for him and keep staying positive it will all work and in no time he'll be home and all the waiting will be worth that welcome home kiss! 😍

I’m moving to Hawaii to be with my husband in a month and he’s going now to look at a cute little puppy. Do dogs put a strain or help a relationship? Not that ours needs help just wondering! Also love the page btw.
