January 1, 2026 - Only hours into 2026, an autonomous direct action group carried out a break-in at the Bruntons Aero Products factory in Inveresk Industrial Park, Musselburgh, on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
Activists reportedly dismantled CNC machinery, servers, and computer equipment using hammers, paint, and fire extinguishers found on site. Graffiti left on the walls and machinery read: “There’s only one way this ends” and “Drop Leonardo.”
The group said Bruntons was targeted due to its role in supplying Leonardo, a major international arms manufacturer. Leonardo produces laser targeting systems used in F-35 jets and supplies military equipment and training aircraft to Israel. [video]
