Type of Refrigerators for your Beautiful Kitchen
Top-Freezer Fridges
This is the traditional refrigerator model that has been available for decades. A refrigerator with two doors, one for the fridge and one for the freezer and is also available as is a one-door refrigerator with an inner door for the freezer. One benefit it does have is that there are several retro-style refrigerators available in this arrangement and parts for older units are relatively easy to find.
Bottom-Freezer Fridges
This is the polar opposite of the top-freezer design. Aside from side-by-side refrigerators, bottom-freezer refrigerators are becoming increasingly the most popular. Bottom-freezer models are becoming more common than top-freezer models as this setup works better with the physics behind your fridge- some manufacturers no longer offer a top-freezer style.
Side-by-Side Refrigerators
One of the most prevalent refrigerator designs is side-by-side. These versions have a freezer on one side and a refrigerator on the other.
The freezer is usually larger, making it ideal for those who enjoy frozen foods. Another advantage is that you don't have to bend over to open any of the doors.
French-Door Refrigerators
There are three doors on the french-door refrigerator. The top (refrigeration) section features two doors that open from the center. The freezer is designed in the shape of a pull-out drawer. The freezer might have a single compartment or many drawers. Some french-door refrigerators include an additional drawer between the freezer and the top doors.
Column Refrigerators
These are separate single-column freezer and fridge units that may be put side by side. These refrigerators are sleek and beautiful, with clean lines and a professional look, but they are also more costly.
Four-Door Refrigerators
This is the most recent refrigerator configuration available. It's a take on the French-door design. A four-door vehicle may be ordered in two distinct configurations. The first version includes french doors on both the top (refrigeration) and bottom (freezer) halves. The second features french doors on top, but instead of split doors, it has two drawers below.
