     Listening to his answer, Elena couldn’t exactly be upset at Caroline if she took a chance on Klaus when she was so against her being with Damon. ❝Okay.. Just don’t play around with her right now.❞

“If there is one thing that is true about my feelings for Caroline is that I do not play. I would never intentionally do anything to hurt her.”

     ❝Well what you can do is simply just drink with your brother like we’re doing.❞ He stated as he had a sip of his drink as well.

Klaus let out a laugh. “That I can definitely do.” he mirrored his brother’s actions and sipped his own drink.

     Through life, Hope always felt like she needed her parents. Her mother and father. Sure Alaric was amazing and another parental figure to her that she viewed as a dad as well but there was no one who was going to have the same bond her and her dad did. ❝I’ll let you know the date when him and I talk more.❞ She smiled softly about it before asking another question. ❝Hey.. what’re your thoughts and feelings about him anyways?❞

“And anything else you need. Traditionally it is the responsibility of the brides parents to fund the wedding. I know it’s somewhat of an archaic notion, but I’m still willing and able to help in anyway.” He smiled. “Landon? I think I need to spend some more time with him to truly form a like or dislike, but I trust you and he cannot be too bad of person if he makes you happy. Your happiness is what matters the most to me, Hope.”

Looking off into the distance almost like looking off into her own little world she spoke, “There’s no one really I can talk to about this.”

Klaus raised an eyebrow at her. “You live in a community of witches and supernatural beings, love. You have literal family surrounding you who could help you through this.”

Caroline always thought it was impossible for him to be her last love the moment that he died. She was single for so long that when both him and Stefan came back she ran to Stefan in both love and fear of her feelings for Klaus. “Well.. you’re sort of perfect which is annoying.” She needed to add the last part or else it wouldn’t be her as she smiled and took the seat. “You’re not a monster though.”

He let out a chuckle. “So I suppose that makes me perfectly annoying as well.” He teased. “I was. You changed me.” He smiled at her.

Luna just smiled upon hearing her fathers voice as she looked up at him. “Sorry dad I thought you were a customer” she replied as she sat up straight and sighed a little. “You don’t need to do that though, I already ate before you arrived” she replied knowing it wasn’t true but she wasn’t all that hungry anyway, well that was until her stomach growled at her but she just ignored it.

“It’s quite alright, love.” He gave her a soft smile. “Are you sure? I’d love to spend some time with my little girl.”

     She felt like she needed to cry in this moment but held herself together. She had missed him and needed him so much in her life that she finally felt more complete and whole when he was here with her. She wanted him to promise that he would never leave her again but couldn’t ask him to do such a thing. ❝Good..❞

He pressed a kiss into the top of her head. He hated knowing what he did to her. Hated the pain he knew he caused her, even if it was for her own protection. He was forever grateful that he was given another chance to be with her.

It was a casual day for Luna, she was on her lunch break at the book cafa. As she sat down on an empty table and was flicking through her art journal wondering what she should draw next. She. didn't realise someone was trying to get her attention that was until they coughed, "Sorry I'm on lunch break, but I'm sure someone else can help you out." She replied as she looked up from her book to see who was talking to her.

“Perhaps I was going to offer to buy your lunch? However if that’s the way you speak to your father I may just have to find one of your siblings to treat instead.” He smiled down to his daughter.

     Hearing what he said, he wasn’t a completely horrible person. ❝But you would jump at the opportunity to go on a date with her wouldn’t you? Since her and Stefan aren’t together anymore.❞

“I would never do anything she didn’t want me to do.” He hoped that this passed as enough of an answer that doesn’t just scream ‘I totally already did.’

     ❝Apologize all you want Nik, it won’t take back what happened.❞ He stated as he did want to just get past it but he couldn’t trust his brother enough to not do something like it again. Bringing his drink to his lips he gave a nod about his new found relationship.

Nik took a sip of his own drink and sighed. He knew that nothing could make up for what he put his siblings through, but he’d keep apologizing until he actually died. “I know, but I will.” He gave a small smile.

It wasn’t easy to hear that somebody might get hurt next time if it happens again as she nodded her head slowly. “Kind of..yeah.”

“Have you spoken to anyone about it? Someone who may be able to help you control your powers a bit more?”

listen to your heart, he kept saying it, perhaps it is how you should live life. your heart did most of the good decisions. your head? not always ❝ you sound so wise, but you are on the other hand much older ❞ she never focused on it until she realized everyone around her had partners and it made her jealous. they no longer had much time for others, or she could be wrong, but it’s how she felt. she also wondered if it was worth the time to fall in love, you only got hurt. she saw how it was at school, people were dating, broke up, some did it all over again, after they realized they could not be without each other ❝ i wouldn’t mind it. yeah, it’d be fun. i’ve always wanted more siblings. i know i have maybe seven? but i have seen hope as a close friend, and almost a sister, a long time, never admitted it to anyone ❞ maybe she wanted more because growing up, it was always only she and josie, plus the other students at the school ❝ thank you. you speak as if you know me well ❞ she was very much like caroline when she was younger ; she had changed slowly over the years ❝ i’m sure i will. this was a different kind of conversation to have with someone, especially with a man my mom is dating. yep, i know all relationships have their up and downs, nothing is always perfect ❞ she said with a small smile. it was the same for sibling and friend relationships.

“I am very much older.” He chuckled. “I’ve been in and out of more relationships and flings than I care to admit.” He was over a thousand years old, throughout his time he’d learned a thing or two, despite being on the run from Mikael for most of those years. “I think that’s a very sweet notion. Many of your formative years were spent together.” Klaus shook his head. “I remember you as a child, and while I may not have gotten to know you as well, I do know the woman who raised you.” He laughed at her comment. It was a unique conversation between the two. “It is quite the conversation. I hope I’ve been able to ease your mind some on the subject, though.”

     ❝Thank you. I’m really happy that you’re back.. I’ve needed you so much.❞ Her voice was small as she walked and reached over, wrapping her arms around her father for a hug,

Klaus wrapped his arms around his daughter in return. He had missed holding her. “I’m happy, too. I’m never leaving you again.”

“Just like how you intending on being my last love?” She almost shyly asked this one as she rose up her shoulders just before she ended with a short laugh afterwards. “Not when it comes to Klaus Mikaelson it isn’t.” She looked over her shoulder to him with a mused smile.

“Exactly like that.” He almost whispered out the confirmation, wanting her to realize how seriously he took this. “Of course not. People can think I’m a monster all they want, but never laking chivalry.” He pulled out the chair for here when they reached the table, before heading over to his own.
