Hope did care for all of her siblings. It didn't matter if they were half blood to her or not, she still cared and wanted to protect them the best she could. ❝ Thank you. I'm doing good though, really. ❞

"It is me. Really." Landon said with a small smile, taking a hesitant step closer to her. He knew how impossible it was. What all had to be going through Hope's head. They had said their goodbyes and accepted what had become of them. But still, it would be a lie to say she wasn't a big part of that he'd done what he did to come back. "You're not dead, I'm not dead. It's a really long story and you'd hate some of the details, but...I'm really here, Hope."

Hope had accepted Landon's death. It took some time, even a couple of years and heartache because off of her emotions were heightened with being a full tribrid. She stood there looking at him, face to face and this was Landon. Nobody playing with her mind, nobody playing pretend that he was here it was really Landon Kirby. ❝ Landon.. what did you do? ❞ She questioned as her brows knit downwards.

Tyler had never really understood why Elena and everyone else seemed to get a kick out of graveyards before. Even with his own parents. But now, with this, it felt different. He had spent more time at Matt's headstone than he ever had at his father's. It didn't feel real. Matt, gone, and this time not coming back. Standing at his gravesite wouldn't change that, but he couldn't bring himself to leave.

Hope had felt responsible for Matt's death in a sense. Had she been around maybe she could have helped but she wasn't there. ❝ Hey, I'm sorry about Matt. ❞ She spoke as she came to wolf out but clearly there were other plans.

Quentin didn't say it out loud but Hope was lucky she got to have her parents back. Although he knew that they shared the same pain. His was just fresher like a wound that was still bleeding. "I don't know if he'd want that," as much as he would like to have his father back. "My dad loved his friends and this town but some times he felt a certain way about magic." Vampires and magic didn't really spell happiness for the Donovans.

Nodding her head, she understood. There was always a balance. There was always a twist in getting back something that you lost. For her it was seeing that pit of darkness when she shut her eyes, making her all alone again with no escape. ❝ I understand. I'm here.. if you need someone to talk to. I know what it's like to lose someone you love. ❞

"Hi, sweetheart." Rebekah said with a soft smile of her own as she took a seat beside her niece. Her fingers grazed over the engraving on the bench, letting out a sigh before she looked to Hope. "You're quite the sight for sore eyes."

❝ It's always good to see you too with all the pain that happens around here. ❞ She stated as her life brought pain and sadness it felt like. It reminded her of Elena's life before she was alive.

"Hope." Landon said back simply. There was so much to say, so much he wanted to say, but...what was there? They'd had their goodbye. He didn't think he would ever get to leave limbo. Hope had probably moved on, hell he wanted her to. Nobody deserved happiness more than Hope Mikaelson. "I've spent a long time trying to think of something cool to say if I saw you again, but I have to be honest, now that it's happening I am at a loss for words." He said, knowing he was on the verge of rambling.

All it took was a name. A name that triggered her love for him to push its way back inside of her, like a flicker that opened back up pushing its way to break open for him. She sat there and just looked at him for a moment, to ensure that he was real because the only time she was him was in death and she wasn't able to die. She was immortal like her Mikaelson family or how they were truly immortal. ❝ That sounds just like you. ❞ She smiled in his direction.

The death of Matt Donovan was an inevitability that Rebekah had always known would happen someday. But it didn't make it less painful; no matter how many decades had passed or how happily married she was, Matt had been the cornerstone of everything Rebekah knew as the beauty of humanity. She was sad, no matter how natural it was. A small, sad smile crossed her face as she caught sight of her niece and the name on the bench she was beside. "Do you mind if I join you?"

❝ Auntie Bex, hey. ❞ Hope softly smiled as she looked toward her Aunt Rebekah who was approaching her, using her head to motion to take a seat. ❝ Go ahead. ❞

It felt weird to be back. Wrong, even. It was worth it, and it was what he wanted, but being whole and alive again still felt like touching a piece of live wire. None of that had anything on seeing Hope Mikaelson in the flesh. It seemed fitting she was the first thing he saw. She always was. He had a million things he wanted to say to her, but the only thing that came out was, "Oh, shit." when he saw the name on the bench she was next to. Talk about timing.

This had to have been to last person Hope would have thought to see in her lifetime now. Landon Kirby. The man who she fell madly in love with and had to give up and walk away from no matter how badly she didn't want to, no matter how bad she wanted to stay with him. ❝ Landon... ❞ She spoke as she blinked seeing his face once again.

. ❝ ⸻ I'm surprised I even got invited to matty blue's funeral ❞ Katherine raised an eyebrow at the funeral invitation card in her hand with matt's best picture on it . ❝ those blue eyes will be missed ❞ .

❝ Because under all that darkness and bullshit I guess April saw something in you. ❞ Hope stated as she cocked her head to the side.

Hope knew all sides with the Mikaelson feud and Mystic Falls, most of the families having some sort of drama with her father or her uncles. Killing her Uncle Kol, trying to murder her father. Everyone did things and everyone was a changed person now. Taking her Aunt Davina's phone she looked at it and knit her brows together. ❝ This isn't right... something is here to torture us all. ❞

Quentin finally stepped to where he was next to the bench. "You don't have to leave," he said as he looked down at his father's name. He may have liked to be alone but for some reason he didn't want to be right now. "It's weird, you know. I keep thinking about texting him and then I remember." He looked back up at Hope as he stuffed his hands in his pockets.

Slowly nodding her head, Hope understood exactly what it was like. ❝ Yeah, I get it. You think that he's still there, that you'll get a reply but you know that it's impossible. That hearing their voice in person again beside you isn't going to happen. ❞ She stated as she looked down at his name again. ❝ I can do my best to try and figure out how to bring him back. ❞

"You wouldn't recognized them now. Margo looks a lot like you did when you were younger. Probably means she looks like me," there was a smile in his voice despite everything that had happened in Mystic Falls. He couldn't help but happy to see his older sister. No matter how much time it had been since they last saw each other it would be too much time. "It's good to see you too." He wanted to ask if she was sticking around this time but he didn't want to be disappointed. "Probably interrupted you when you wanted to be alone." He knew how she was.

❝ Well thank god I was a cute child, or so I've been told. I don't have many photos of myself. ❞ She stated with a slight laugh. Especially when she was a baby, any photo that was ever taken she was told was burned, it was all just memories they had with her. ❝ It's alright. It's good to see you so my alone time can wait for my brother. ❞ She knew she should be more present with her family, she just isolated herself one too many times.

Eli had never really known matt. So he couldn't say he was as emotional about the whole thing as others. But that didn't make him apathetic. He could understand why some people felt so upset. He would have too had it been someone he had close bonds with. So to see his sister on the bench as he made his way home, he stopped to head over towards her. "Uh hey?" He said softly instead of his usual teases. It was a rare side for people to see of eli, and even rarer if they had not been family.

It wasn't like Eli to be so casual with his hello's and greetings. She had a half smile on her lips as she rose up a brow turning her attention toward him. ❝ Can I help you, Eli? ❞

❝ Yup, which a lot of us know that it's not true, just regular citizens who are believing all of that crap. ❞ She stated as she was already trying to figure out who killed him because the only animal in the woods were werewolves and she knew when they were turning. ❝ Text? I haven't looked at my phone all that much since the invitation about coming here. So there is something more to this... ❞ She whispered the last part trying to figure out what it could be this time around.

It wasn't often that Hope got to see her Aunt Davina and her Uncle Kol as well. Maybe she should find more time to get together with her family. ❝ Aunt Davina. ❞ She shared a soft smile with her as she folded her arms over her chest. ❝ Yeah, I'm alright. I was just wondering what actually killed Matt because it sure as hell wasn't an animal. ❞
