I'm Miji. I'm almost 30 years old. I'm a fair-skinned southeast Asian woman with combination skin (oily T-zone, dry everything else). I work in a lab, and most of my non-working hours are also spent at home away from the sun...

Growing up I had no issues with acne surprisingly enough. Maybe some problems on my forehead here and there from some god-awful bangs? That was about it!

It really got bad in college though. Maybe from all the stress. And that was my first foray into skincare. What did I use? I can't even remember. Part of the reason why I'm starting a blog! Whatever I did, clearly didn't work too well. I had a recurring patch specifically on my chin and below my nose/above my lips.

The acne persisted for years until maybe my mid-20s? COVID masks definitely didn't help either. At that point my cheeks had also gotten zits and I had so much hyperpigmentation.

What changed my skin for the better I believe was a combination of multiple factors. I can't say if they all had equal weight or if there's anything else! But here were some changes:

- 2020 I got a new, less stressful job!

- 2021, it became more safe to go around without masks since the vaccine was rolling out

- At some point I bought Differin gel?

- 2022 I started birth control, Junel Fe. I was just generally happy then too from relationship honeymoon phase

So I have felt lots more confident about the state of my skin! But I have definitely noticed flare ups in response to stress. Also have bad habit of picking my skin. So I always feel the need to do something about it.

Anyway yes that is me and my situation to give context. Idk if anyone will ever read this!
